100% Pure Cashmere Coat

I live in Australia, and it's A/W season here. Contemplating on buying 100% pure cashmere coat. Is it a good idea or will this look worn easily? It's expensive but if it's something I can wear for years, I can make the investment.

Another option is 30% cashmere 70% wool and it's half the price of the pure cashmere?

Get on Ebay OP! I've bought several immaculate pure cashmere coats for £50 and under.

Yes, I'd say it's worth the investment but I don't know where you are in Australia but they're really much warmer than you think, definitely much much warmer than a 30/70 mix will be. Mine doesn't close (it's the classic Céline one) and I can wear it at really low temps worn open, something I'm never able to do with any other coat.

Would also recommend getting a cashmere brush with it (Kent brushes do a good one) to keep it in good shape (brush on a flat surface like a table). As to whether it will look worn, not so bad but if you're getting a double faced coat the arms can wrinkle up a bit but it doesn't look worn out and recovers somewhat as well, imo, but the double faced type of coats are rarely designed to be very stiff tailored type of coats so it doesn't look off. It does require a bit of babying, don't send it to the drycleaners all the time only when it's really necessary.

I ordered a Tom Ford cashmere coat from the Outnet but unfortunately they didn't have it in stock so never received it. I think there are pros and cons to cashmere coats. This article is a good read. I ended up buying a Margaret Howell cost in 100% wool which suits me better.
