What is this hair accessory?

Many years ago I had a hair thing that was basically a strip of velvetty fabric with a hole in the middle. It had a loop of metal inside so you could manipulate it for french pleats, buns etc. Does anyone know what it's called as I'd really like to try it again.

Attached is a pic of a similar looking item although I can't see if it has metal inside (or something similar).

Thank you!

They sell the bun maker on wish for a few pound.

You are amazing! Thank you so much. The EZ bun on that forum was right, although I've gone with a similar one as I don't have £40 to spare. I declined the £24 fastest delivery for the same reason.

I knew I could rely on you ladies!

I bought one in the Poundland not too long ago - maybe 3 weeks ago for the grand old price of £1. Worth a look next time you are near a Poundland as they are not worth £40.

They sell them in Claire’s. I’m sure I’ve also seen them in Sainsbury’s, made by scünchi.

Binglebong · 03/05/2021 09:43

Thanks I'll check both places. I'm in a town the size of a postage stamp so it will be a long time before I see a Claire's or Poundland but when I do il pop in.
