Has anyone tried it? I have very oily hair, dark brown hair, never dyed, and don't plan to. I only condition the ends and I'm disabled so regularly go days without washing my hair as I can't manage, and nothing has stopped it being so greasy. I get 1 day off a wash. 1 measly day. Then the day after it's greasy again.
I've tried almost everything I can think of. Various dry shampoos to try in between, other shampoos, some meant for greasy hair, others not. Nothing seems to work.
I'm at my wits end. I'm fed up of being not only the mum that has to use a separate school entrance for her kids (the usual entrance to school is up a large hill which I can't walk up) but also the one who's hair is always a greasy mess which looks like I've dipped my head in the chip pan.

I’ve not heard of it.

Have you tried this -

I tried it and it was rubbish on my hair. Really greasy and heavy. I was so disappointed as everyone raves about it.

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 02/05/2021 21:48

I have. My hair was still greasy afterwards! It's as if my hair just refuses to stay nice. Very frustrating

MoonlightMedicine thanks for the honesty. I'd rather find out before I spend a small fortune on it.

koalaroobear · 02/05/2021 22:00

It made my hair incredibly matted and it started falling out whilst I was washing it.

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 02/05/2021 22:04

koalaroobear ShockShock my hair is extremely fine so definitely don't want to lose anymore

ChequerBoard · 02/05/2021 23:31

I fell for it. Don't bother, it's a total con. Really poor quality products in very cheap and nasty packaging.

cheeseislife8 · 02/05/2021 23:39

I've not tried it but I have similar hair to you OP and Bed Head is the best one I've found. I hate that I spend so much on shampoo now but it works!

Pinktruffle · 02/05/2021 23:40

@HerRoyalRisesAgain sorry to derail but have you tried a scalp scrub? It helped with my sisters greasy roots and has actually helped her hair growth. I've used it too and loved it.

Happyelfjokeday · 03/05/2021 07:06

I also I tried it and felt it was making my hair greasier than before. Couldn’t bring myself to finish the bottles even though I’d paid loads for them!

HenryHooverIII · 03/05/2021 07:10

How do you dry your hair OP? I appreciate you may not be able to manage this, but if I blow dry mine, it doesn't go as greasy as quickly as if I leave it to dry naturally. Even just blitzing it with the hair dryer rather than a proper styled blow dry seems to help.

Gah81 · 03/05/2021 07:13

Based on the title (and fact I have never heard of this before) I thought this was going to be a philosophical discussion Grin

Mylittlesandwich · 03/05/2021 07:19

I tried it and didn't like it so they redid it for me and I still didn't like it. Overpriced too IMO.

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 03/05/2021 07:39

Thanks everyone. Good to know before I spend on it.

justawoman · 03/05/2021 08:30

Another one who’s tried it and was not impressed

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 03/05/2021 08:31

So glad I asked now. Just overpriced crap then.

OP posts:
Yorkshireteaalwayswins · 04/05/2021 15:16

Its definitely over-priced but it makes my hair feel lovely and soft. I only put conditioner on the very ends of my hair though. I'll gladly use it up but wont buy again as a) its too much to spend and b) the smell of my conditioner is awful! Its meant to be rose and just smells of mouthwash!

Pancakeorcrepe · 04/05/2021 15:31

OP what shampoo are you using now?
Have you tried washing your hair twice, as in shampoo it two times every time you shower?
I would stop using the conditioner and use only a light spray leave-in detangler, as sparingly as you can.
With regards to dry shampoo, have you tried the one that comes in just a little bottle of powder rather than the Batiste spray can? And applying the dry shampoo right after you wash and dry, rather than wait until it is greasy again. Do you wash your hair in the morning or in the evening?

squirrelnutkins1 · 04/05/2021 15:37

I was about to buy some but then read a load of reviews where people said their hair fell out after using it! Not just one or two people, a real lot of people so that put me off!

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 04/05/2021 15:50

My current shampoo is elvive clay. I always shampoo twice.
I've tried every dry shampoo I can find.
I wash it whenever I can. Being disabled means I can't wash it at a specific time, as I have to wait until I'm able to get in the shower alone or my mums here to help.

OP posts:
ChardonnaysPetDragon · 04/05/2021 15:55

Black tea rinse.

It cuts the oiliness and gives you some shine.

SummaLuvin · 04/05/2021 15:58

Thanks for starting this thread OP, I have been tempted a few times and even gone through the process only to wimp out at the price. Wish they would sell the empty customisable bottles so I could fill them with my usual products, they would look so nice in my bathroom!

CardiganBlobby · 04/05/2021 16:13

No better than anything from Tesco and the smell was awful.
