I want a dress!

An everyday or going to an evening bbq type dress. I want it to cover my knees. My legs are ok: I'm slim size 10 or 12 but I'm 55 and my knees are a bit footballer-ish!
Bit fitted at the waist would be nice, but not slinky. Budget up to £100 if I can get plenty Of wear from it.
Can I find one?
No!

I like the idea of that first one with a belt. Elevates it somewhat

Have a look at Sezane

Do a lot of research about shapes, lengths, fabrics, prints, colours, cut, etc. I went all out last year buying dresses after not having worn them in years. After having them for a year I learned which I liked to wear and it was a lot of work with the rest; 4 were dyed (turns out I don't like the louder more vibrant colour mixes!), 2 were made into skirts because of wrong necklines and sleeves, 1 given to charity because of the fabric. I do now have a fab collection that I love but it took time!

What body shape are you? Hourglass? Pear? Etc. It will affect the shape of dress that suits you.

M and S have a good range of dresses this year, including dresses from other companies.

I'm slimish athletic. But not skinny. Not buxom but not flat chested. Narrowish hips but a waist. I'm weird! 5'9 The only things I really want to hide are my knees. I like a boat neck/crew neckline.
