Who can help sort out my ugly feet?

OK, bear with me on this. My feet have always been ugly. I have hereditary bunions, so hide them away most of the time.
I have never had a pedicure or seen a chiropodist and to be honest, I don't really know what I could reasonably expect from them?

But I have to do something!

My nails are hard and tend to curve around my toes (they always have!) They've never looked like all those straight beautiful painted toenails you seen in pictures!

Two of my toes have yellow edges and are crumbling. I've tried the paint stuff for fungal nail infections but it doesn't seem to work Sad.

What do I need to book? Who do I need to see? What do I ask them to do?

You need to speak to the dr to see if they will send a toe nail clipping to the lab to check for a FNI. There are tablets that you can be prescribed, although baseline blood tests are needed and they need repeating after a couple of months.

You need to soak your feet in the bath/bucket so the nails soften enough to cut them. They shouldn’t grow so that they curve around you toes. A chiropodist would do a proper assessment & nail cut for you if you struggle, they have tough equipment to deal with all sorts of nails, they would make them look pretty for you Smile
