Make up advice please?!

I’m going to a wedding (day time, fairly casual) over the summer in July and need make up advice. I know several guests will be very glam and I want to look/feel like I belong there. I wear make up every day but basic. I wanted advice on the best nude/ natural eyeshadows and highlighters to use (I don’t want mega-sparkly, I’m 45). I want to go for a light/ natural look. I don’t really mind spending money for high end products if they’re worth it. I want looking at urban decay naked 3 but this would probably be a waste bearing in mind I would probably only use it once or twice?
Plus what primers- normal and eyeshadow primers do you use? Is it worth getting these?
I would usually get someone to do my make up for special occasions but due to geography I can’t.
Thanks for advice.

I usually use Nars for foundation/ concealer/ blush and am using Charlotte Tilbury for eyeliner (rock & kohl) and mascara at the moment.

Just picking up on the Urban Decay eyeshadow thing... Aldi do their own versions (not always available but worth keeping an eye out for) I have UD and Aldi palettes and there is very little difference in terms of staying power. I also really like the brush that comes in the Aldi palettes. If this is likely to be an occasional use item for you I'd highly recommend the Aldi ones (£5.99 each)

Lots of people rate Smashbox primers but I prefer Rimmel Lasting Finish. For a posh primer I use Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. I wouldn't skip primer if I wanted my makeup to last all day.

For face primer I like laura Mercier or Benefit

Eye primer - urban decay primer potion

Eyeshadow - Urban decay palettes are nice but maybe not worth it if you'll only use it once. Then again if you are so not interested in eyeshadow then I would say don't feel you have to wear it just for that day.

What about a cream eyeshadow you can just put all over your lid? You may be more likely to use that again too?

Something like this if you like CT but I think L'Oréal do them too as do MAC and other brands

MAC is a bit cheaper
