Wow factor shoes - help

This seems weirdly impossible.

I’ve got a big event - fingers crossed - in the summer and I’m looking for some fabulous shoes, preferably neutral but could do pink/coral/pastels etc. But key is wow factor.

I’ve spent hours looking and don’t think I’m that fussy but cannot find anything.

So criteria:
Not flats but max 70mm heel
Not black
No Perspex or glitter
Definitely leather
Stylish not “quirky” so no irregular choice.

No real budget, I’ll pay for something amazing. I feel like I’ve looked everywhere and everything is just so dull.

Thank you, thank you!

Some really great suggestions. I love love the aquazzura and the louboutins but both too high. I wish they weren’t but I’m wincing at the thought.

@RestingPandaFace I did say there wasn’t really a budget - I’ll pay what I need to for something fab, but actually anything over £800 is making me feel a bit light headed Grin

Rachel Simpson shoes tick all your boxes OP! Leather, high quality, pretty, and not too high

emsyj37 · 30/04/2021 22:39

I came on to say Rachel Simpson!!! They are beautiful shoes, and heel heights are manageable.

Probably a bit bridal but there’s some beautiful shoes here!!!

Emma Hope’s shoes are gorgeous
Anello and Davide have beautiful shoes - my wedding shoes were the most comfortable ever. Looks like bespoke only now, but might be worth a look?

I LOVE @FionaMacCool suggestion - Netaporter is full of fab classy expensive heels.

FionaMacCool · 01/05/2021 13:22

@PegasusReturns don't tease....come back and let us know what you decided.
I want to enjoy a pair vicariously.
In the spirit of the parking threads, a photo would be even better.

I'm useless at wearing heels and had a pair of Rachel Simpson shoes for my wedding day - they were incredibly comfortable and I stayed dancing in them until the small hours of the next morning! Leather, not too high, really well made, and sooo pretty. Have worn them loads since as well

btwwhichonespink · 01/05/2021 22:56

Agree with Aquazzurra - they usually have some beautiful wow factor shoes each season.

Malone Souliers if you can carry off the shape.

Manolo Sederaby are my favourite wow factor shoes but I think a bit dated now. They do come with various heel heights though.

PegasusReturns · 02/05/2021 11:31

@FionaMacCool

No decision made yet.

I tried wandering around the house yesterday in heels and could barely shuffle. I used to commute on the tube in 4” heels FGS - I feel my youth has slipped away 😫

I’m very tempted by the Alaia - although net a Porter doesn’t have my size. The problem is I really really love these ones, but there’s just no way I could wear them all day.

Have you looked at Sophia Webster? Lots of beautiful statement shoes and she does different heel heights, including flats. They are serious wow factor and while expensive, not so crazy as to make you light headed!

FionaMacCool · 02/05/2021 11:51

YEs, those are smashing.
I think the Alaia Bombe are my favourite...not that I have anywhere to wear them.
These seem slightly lower, though the heel height is not in the description :

Orcadianrythyms · 02/05/2021 12:34

@PegasusReturns - Moda in Pelle, really comfortable in medium heights. Their very high heels aren't for me but very nice shoes and I 've had lots of compliments with the few pairs I have.

btwwhichonespink · 02/05/2021 13:09

@PegasusReturns

These ones
Beautiful but painful!

If you aren't used to walking in high heels they will be unbearable after a couple of hours as no platform sole and a lace ankle strap. Ouch.
