White trainers - sorry!!

I am looking for white trainers to wear with dresses etc this spring / summer. I have some white converse but am looking for the slightly chunkier look. Any recommendations? Am early 50s but look younger if that matters!

There are about 18 threads on this very topic, have a search, but to save you some time the general consensus is Stan Smiths, Adidas superstars, superga, air and grace get mixed reviews

To be fair, we live rurally and white trainers would soon look very grubby if I wore them anywhere other than on a pavement.

My mum is 70 and she has been wearing white leather Adidas since I can remember. They are sturdy and cleanable and despite her AMD she can always see where her feet are

Air Force Ones are on the more chunky side and super comfortable. I also have Adidas Gazelles (and some new Stan Smiths delivered today after the last thread ).

You'll get loads of suggestions - but if you want a classic 'cool' pair then you want a classic brand like Adidas or another sports brand. The ones from fashion houses or comfort brands are never going to have the same image, however lovely or comfortable they are.

I like Fitflop trainers! They probably aren't the chicest things, but they are inoffensive, fairly classic shape and extremely comfy. I have washed mine in the machine and they came out fine. I just never wear them in winter. I live in a town, so they don't get that dirty except in winter.
