Supergras-how long to wear in?

I love how they look but it's like wearing something very inflexible and generally stiff. They feel ridiculous but I'm
Used to nice soft Skechers or sandals. Please tell me good things!

Mine never wore in and I ditched them!!
Never again! Rough canvass-y nightmares.

FlowersofSpring · 30/04/2021 11:26

Oh god.

Someone will hopefully come along and tell you otherwise, but I'm afraid my experience was also that they were strangely rigid and clumpy. Maybe it depends on your foot shape [insert optimistic emoticon here]?

FlowersofSpring · 30/04/2021 11:55

My feet are narrow with skinny heels and everything rubs at first even bloody slippers so I expected them to feel uncomfortable to start with. I had a pair of converse once and hated them as the sole peeled away from the upper and they were inflexible bastards too, I'll maybe put fluffy socks on and wear them around the house for a week before I venture out in them.

They never wore in for me they just murdered my feet until I shoved them to the back of the cupboard. Bastard things.

Have you tried Toms? They’re lovely for wearing in and being comfy.

ShirleyPhallus · 30/04/2021 11:59

I honestly think they took a year until they were comfy and at that point the rubber had come away from the canvas at the crease of my toes so I needed new ones

I would say I had 2 happy weeks in them and that was that

FlowersofSpring · 30/04/2021 12:03

I walk miles and miles a day but wanted something a little more summery for every day instead of my walking sandals for the school run and general out and about. Also something to go with linen trousers. I don't really wear proper shoes and need flats. I know Stan smiths and similar are popular but I don't like them.

Love my supergas on my second pair don’t think they took that long to wear it! Maybe a few weeks of regular use- I do always wear with socks tho??

theworldsbiggestcrocodile · 30/04/2021 12:22

Not that long and I also have skinny feet. Wear with socks for two weeks until they soften up a bit maybe?

WildCherryBlossom · 30/04/2021 14:25

Mine were never spectacularly uncomfortable, nor did they ever become blissfully comfortable. I just ditched them after about 3 years of wearing them quite a lot but never loving them. I think I will stick to Converse.

weegiepower · 30/04/2021 16:38

Mine never wore in and they just sit in my cupboard! But my sister has multiple pairs and lives in them and says they're super comfy! So maybe depends on feet...

Bagelsandbrie · 30/04/2021 16:42

You are wearing them with socks aren’t you? Proper socks? If you do that for a while eventually they’ll be fine.

PhantomErik · 30/04/2021 17:30

Mine were comfortable from day one & really comfortable after a couple of weeks.

InpatientGardener · 30/04/2021 17:33

Mine are the only pair of that sort of shoe not to rub my feet at all, but I have wide feet.

BordersRUs · 30/04/2021 17:37

I hate them. Think they’re so overrated. My personal favs at the moment are New Balance. Seem to be quite trendy on Instagram etc too. The comfiest trainers I’ve ever had.

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 30/04/2021 17:43

Takes a couple of wears (and maybe an initial one round the house) for me, I have very wide feet though, and they're the only brand I can get on with atm.

Angbunnyboo · 30/04/2021 17:46

Mine wear in quickly, much quicker than wearing in my converse. I use trainer socks with them though.

Spied · 30/04/2021 17:48

Too heavy to wear. Like walking around in bricks.

MayflowerMaisie · 30/04/2021 18:16

My white leather ones have always been comfortable, my pewter canvas ones have always been uncomfortable.
