CG method with highlighted hair?

I'd love to try this as my hair has quite a curl to it (when it's not a complete frizzball) but I have lots of highlights. Will it still work on highlighted hair? Google is giving me mixed responses! I'd love to hear some MN experiences.

I’ve very wavy hair & the curly girl method blessed me with a cornflake on my head!

It works for me - if anything, the lack of nasties with CG will help processed highlighted hair.

I wish l had one @LifeInAHamsterWheel It was horrible! Because of my waves / my hair stays where l want it though. Bit like a barristers wig! Anyway - love the Olaplex now!

I've straightened my hair for years. Maybe before going full curly girl method I should just see if I can get it to look any way normal without the straighteners. I don't know if I'm brave enough!

Watching with interest! I hated my curly hair as a teenager but now I want it back! My hair is highlighted and has been straightened for years! Is there any hope??

It's the trial & error/in between stage that's putting me off. I want it to look instantly fab that has never happened

because of my curl - my hair isn’t that loose ( if you see what I mean?) so it stays where l put it! Sorta - my hairdresser says it’s in very good condition & it was like this when it was just brown… but l can see it’s much better blonde + Olaplex!

I'm CG and have highlights although they're pretty grown out now!

I did just do an olaplex treatment! I break a few CG rules, sometimes use a low poo, and a detangling brush but always avoid silicones
