Would like a really nice Brereton stripe top but can't afford Boden

Would love a classic stripe top, with a boat neck like what Boden do but not their prices. Any ideas l?

Sign up for boden emails? They occasionally send £10 off vouchers, and although they say they expire they don’t really. I’ve used vouchers 9months after expiry and never had a problem. You can stack 2 at a time (so £20 off) plus with a 20% off code, boden isn’t actually that unaffordable

I was disappointed with my last Boden Breton top. The material was very thin. I’ve had better quality from Tesco and M&S.

I got a Crew Clothing breton top in Tkmaxx for £12.
I almost got 3 different ones but the changing rooms weren't open and I didn't want to have to return them all.

Sometimes Primark have Breton tops in. I bought a Breton style t-shirt last week and am very happy with the quality.

What size are you? Boden do (or at least used to a few years ago) do the Breton tops in kids sizes as well as adult. Much cheaper. Age 15-16 will fit ladies size 12-14.

I buy Boden on EBay. Just bought a Hobbs striped top on EBay as well.

Boden stripy tops have plummeted in quality, I was horrified at the last ones I bought. I stick to Seasalt now. Currently bogohalfprice. Joules are the best quality of all IMO. I've bought a couple of the £8 M&S ones too- quality and thickness about the same as Boden (ie not very but at £8, who cares)

I have 3 fatface ones. Bought when in sale or on a "two for" type offer. Bought them over 2 years ago. Wear them all the time. They haven't faded or lost their shape at all. The cost per wear must be pretty low by now!

I love stripy tops. Sugarhill Brighton have lovely striped tops, great quality. I’ve had striped tops from many shops, Joules, Boden, TU good. Primark, thin and don’t wash well.

What size are you?

I have about 5 or 6 of the seasalt ones and they are lovely. I also have the £8.50 M&S one. It's also lovely but quite different. I sized up in the M&S and I'm glad I did. It's also much stretchier. Also the sleeves on my M&S one are 3/4 length. I prefer seasalt in general as it looks the part more. Just generally better quality.
