Affordable anti ageing skincare?

I saw Paula’s Choice recommended on another thread and thought it sounded great. It’s £34... ok but I guess it’s a decent size tube? Nope. It’s arrived and it’s TINY. So I’ll be sending it back.

With that in mind, does anyone have any recommendations for affordable anti ageing skincare with spf that’s cruelty free? I’m looking more at the £15-20 range for 50ml.

@FreekStar I agree, I find the formulations quite complex compared to other oferrings and I see decent results with what I tried so far. I like the 1% retinol booster.

I like Prai from M&S.

I'm going to have to look into Paula's Choice. I haven't used her products for about 25 years! Didn't know they still existed until this thread popped up. Back in the day (well before the Internet) she wrote a book that was filled with fabulous information on the best cosmetics and creams, reviews of each product and ingredients, what type of packaging was best for each type of product and why (oxidation etc). It was like my bible. And of course she had her own products, but they were very hard to get a hold of. How long have her products been available in the UK?

Wow she was so young on that cover 😮 I know about the book but never read it.
She has a newer updated skincare book called The best skin of you life starts here. It's full of useful information.

I've been buying her products from around 2010 I think. She added a lot in the range since then and updated the packages a few times. Cultbeauty and Feelunique also carry the brand.

I'm on a budget. I use aldi or lidl anti aging products and am really happy with them. Mostly Lidl probably. I have, serum, spf20 day moisturiser, night cream. I haven't used soap on my face for years.
I'm 42 and happy with my skin. I have slight under eye wrinkles and marionette lines but what can you do?!! Such is life...

I've had some good high SPF moisturisers from Simple, which are great value and I think don't test on animals.

Get yourself a good spf50 - I like La Roche Posay in the flat rectangular bottle, and if you can some Tretinoin.
I usually get mine when I travel, but luckily I stocked up last February.
Those are the two things that will make the real difference, then you can experiment with everything else.
