How many shampoo & conditioners do you have using parallel?

TeaAddict235 · 28/04/2021 19:17

I currently have 3 shampoos that I use in parallel, I.e. when I need a smoothing shampoo, or a moisturising one or a third gentle repair, I select from the three. Am currently tempted to open a fourth Blush

I have 2 conditioners: a hydrating one and a smoothing one.

How many do you have awaiting use, and do you find it an efficient method to have ones to fit your hair needs?

Two. A set of olaplex shampoo and conditioner and another set for thinning/fine hair. I also sometimes use DPs (whatever is on offer!)

nahdenmardybum · 28/04/2021 19:21

Sorry that didn't answer your questions at all! I find it works for me. I don't like using the same one all the time I get bored and always worry about my hair "getting used" to one and becoming inefficient.

I'm also rotating about 3 shower gels!

Justbetweenus · 28/04/2021 19:23

Always trying to find the holy grail of purple shampoos to keep bleached hair white-blonde. So usually 2-3 brands and combos of shampoo, conditioner and hair-masks.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 28/04/2021 19:23
  1. But one was a mistake so I’m using it up. Hate a cluttered shower.
NoSiree · 28/04/2021 19:32

Like the pp; 2 because I have some I don't like but it's open so I have to use it! After that I'll stick to one.

DizzySquirrel90 · 28/04/2021 19:33

One

EnglishRain · 28/04/2021 19:34

Also one

BeaLola · 28/04/2021 19:56

Usually 2 in my shower cubicle plus usually 2shower gels

At the moment I have a Pantene shampoo + 3 min conditioner and a Ouai fine shampoo and matching conditioner ((Olaplex stuff in basket in bathroom)

Shower wise I have Jo Malone Bluebell hand and body wash & a Korres fig shower gel

Seafog · 28/04/2021 19:59

One shampoo, one conditioner
Nice and lightweight, always leaves my scalp and hair happy
It's nice not having to think about it when shopping, too

MabelMoo23 · 28/04/2021 20:39

@Justbetweenus you need the new Kerastase absolu blond range. Bloody fab

kowari · 28/04/2021 20:40

One shampoo, one matching conditioner, one shower gel. Can't stand clutter.

Fispi · 28/04/2021 20:46

One shampoo (OGX plex) and one conditioner (Tresemme moisturising) in shower. Heat protection conditioner spray (Tresemme) in bedroom....hardly ever use heat but I do use the spray when cant be bothered to condition in shower. Since I had my first child my hair has become so dry and now static. It's very straight and looks ok but I'd love to find something to stop the static hair thing so current products arent quite working.

tatoowooo · 28/04/2021 20:48

@kowari I totally agree!! I have one of each and I don't buy new until they are empty. My friend buys shampoo etc with her shopping nearly every week, her bath and shower and windowsill are COVERED in bottles that are half used!! It wrecks my head!! The amount of money sitting in her bathroom is INSANE!!

AnneTwackie · 28/04/2021 20:51

@Justbetweenus I believe it’s Lee Stafford bleach blondes left on for a minute!

AnneTwackie · 28/04/2021 20:53

A purple shampoo and conditioner, Aussie shampoo and 3 minute rescue conditioner and Pantene for when I’m hurrying and to shave my legs!

Have you tried John Freida frizz ease in the red bottle? My hair sounds similar to yours re the straight and static with dry ends and this smooths smooths and weighs down my hair enough to not be static, but isn't heavy enough to make it look dank or flat

Fanola.
Doublechins · 28/04/2021 21:09

One shampoo and one conditioner but they are different brands

dudsville · 28/04/2021 21:10

I have one set BUT many months ago I pulled out my stored toiletries, the stuff I bought and didn't really like but didn't really hate, also the travel size bottles. I've been using those up. It cluttered my shower at first but now I get a very boring thrill when I use up a bottle and I'm nearly through them. I do miss my usual set and will be glad to get back to them.

pinkypink24 · 28/04/2021 21:23

I have several on the go Grin
Redken extreme shampoo conditioner & hair mask.
Wells fusion shampoo conditioner & hair mask.
Redken extreme blondage ( purple shampoo ) very good!
Redken clarifying shampoo
Osmo deep moisturising conditioner
Shea moisture shampoo & conditioner
DP goes mental. Says there are too many & I have to streamline my choices. No
Way, not happening.
Just deciding whether to add the new Kerastase Blonde Absolu to my collection Hmm

Full head of long blonde bleach highlights here - needs extra TLC. Love my nice hair care stuff, could not revert to using cheaper brands.

dudsville · 28/04/2021 22:07

I just bought a trial set of a new product, Blush.

Elouera · 28/04/2021 22:11

OP- Why do you need so many? Does your hair change week on week and therefore need a different product each time? Confused

Generally I have 1 shampoo and 1 conditioner for both DH and myself.

beguilingeyes · 29/04/2021 10:26

Two...one for thickening and one for blonde hair.

I've never used conditioner..my hair doesn't seem to need it.

goose1964 · 29/04/2021 13:22

One shampoo two conditioners, one for normal and the other as a treatment. I forgot I also have a leave in for those days my hair's a cross between Hermione's first year and Bella Lestrange.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 29/04/2021 13:28

I wash my hair daily and alternate between Liz Earle and OGX coconut flavour. DP uses Head and Shoulders and I sometimes have a go at that to get rid of any product build up.
