I've got dark hair with ash blond baby lights/balayage, the problem is it doesn't stay ash blond for long and always turns brassy! 🤦🏻‍♀️Can anyone recommend a shampoo or toner to keep it light? Xx

Fanola no more yellow!

My hairdresser recommended it, I would never use anything else.

It's on Amazon

Just to add, I left it 7 mins the first time and it was OK but left on the full time the next time and it was great. Leave on time is very dependent on individual hair though.

OP, by brassy, do you mean orange? If so, it's not purple toner you want, it's blue.

Stargazer86 · 28/04/2021 14:03

@Aperolontherocks Yeah I'd say more orange than yellow...

Is it more a blue toner I need then? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Fanola do a "no more orange" version. Which is blue.
Both are excellent

I feel like I'm still confused over if I need a purple or blue shampoo as I've got both dark roots and what's meant to be an ash blond balayage...both the darker and lighter parts of my hair are looking more brassy/warm/orange than I would like...any tips?? Xx

If your hair is more orange and brown, then choose the blue.

If your hair is more yellow and brassy blonde, then choose the purple.

Both are pretty similar, the blue is just stronger and a different tone. I would go with the purple first and see how you get on. If it's not enough and still brassy, get the blue

Hope this helps
