Back in the 70s we would enquire after this look by asking if your shoes had argued with your trousers.

Funny how a few years ago everyone was going on about cropped pants making you look short, now you can't find regular length pants! I personally really like them, but some can look frumpy in them depending on the styling.

Thanks for the replies. I've looked at cropped wide legs but a lot seem to be wide on the whole leg but I think the ones I'm looking for are a bit slimmer on the thigh.

I think they can look nice with a plain t-shirt and white trainers.

I just came on to say that this style of jeans is known as the shang a lang but @CatsForLife beat me to it!

Are they loon pants ?

I though loons were tight at the top then fulsome at the bottom? And full length?

I might be wrong though. I was a baby during the heyday of the mighty loon pant.
