I am a bit of a mess. Need to shift some weigh, no particular sense of style, skin starting to age (badly) and crap hair.

I need to do something as it is starting to impact on how I feel and the crapper I feel, the less care I take.
So, diet starts Monday and I need to book a hairdressers appointment. Clothes etc will have to wait a while but I have no idea what to do with my hair, can you please help with ideas? Pictures would be even better. Smile
Currently collar bone length, naturally thick and frizzy and needs straightening to look ok. Natural side parting and won't grow into a fringe.
It is falling out a bit as I had DD 9 months ago.
I previously had an inverted bob which looked ok. I know that the colour isn't great but it will have to wait until I have a bit more spare cash.
Any help would be appreciated

I think your hair and face shape look lovely! Personally I would look at making your hair all one colour either at the hairdressers or a good box dye (I like Josh Wood) and just get a trim as I like your hair style. I’m an advocate of Stitch Fix for clothes.

Thank you @DarlingCoffee. I am not sure why my hair grows in two different colours. It has always been like this but I think that you are right about dying it all one colour. I will have a look for a decent box dye.
Its just so shapeless and meh. Whatever I do, it never looks nice or done.

I haven't heard of stitchfix before. Am going to have a look for once I have lost some weight.

Have you seen Bly Manor? 😱

Your hair doesn’t look at all crap by the way!

Hexinthecity · 25/04/2021 21:50

What! Don’t dye your hair all one colour it looks class as it is, in fact plenty of people spend a fortune on hair colour to get theirs to look half as good as yours. And as for your skin, it looks lovely from what I can see, clear and with good colouring.
If you fancy a freshen up style wise then get it chopped for a change, but honestly from the pic you’ve posted you don’t have much to worry about (granted you’ve no face but everything else looks good Grin)

Argh Shock @Miseryisabutterfly. I just googled that. It is terrifying. Sorry for the creepy faceless image.
Thank you also @Hexinthecity. You are all being very kind. Believe me, the blur is hiding a multitude of sins.

I wonder whether they sell Bly Manor masks Hmm I seem to look better a bit blurry.

I think that I might need a new hairdresser. I popped in today to make an appointment and she asked if I was having a bob done again, when I said no and asked if she had any good ideas she looked panicked and said that she didn't know and thought that a bob would be best. Confused kind of felt like she couldn't be arsed

Does anyone have any suggestions for styles at all?
Or hairdressers around Pateley Bridge?
Thank you

Your hair is gorgeous OP. I wouldn’t change too much - maybe a colour refresh if it needs it - it looks great in the photo but I can’t see the back.
Maybe you could just try styling it differently e.g. beachy waves for a change. But appreciate with a 9 month old baby you won’t have much time for faffing about

Tweetypietwo · 27/04/2021 05:27

You have really nice hair! I would just add some texture (choppy layers?) and a bit of volume to your roots! Like this maybe?

Your hair looks lovely.
I’d definitely change hairdressers if they can’t advise you? Odd.
Maybe ask for some layers?
Do you ever curl it/wave it?

Hair/skin/nails vitamins will help with the post-baby falling out and skin too. It’s not a short-term fix But worth it in long run.

WithRosesAroundTheDoor · 27/04/2021 20:34

You are all being very kind but honestly, in person it is awful.
I do sometimes wave/ curl it when I have the time.
Thank you @Tweetypietwo I quite like that. Some layers are a good idea. I just never know what to ask for.

@Tini17 I bought some vitamins today, now I just have to remember to actually take them. Grin
