Summer work trousers

I've ordered quite a few different pairs over the last few weeks - chinos, linen, wide leg and so on but nothing has been quite right. I'm a size 14, short in the leg (about 29"). I find it a challenge to find something that's not really formal or doesn't look like I'm off to the beach. I'm bored of my usual black skinnies and they make me to hot in warmer weather. I'm returning to a smart casual work environment.

Anyone found anything that might be suitable?

Totally different to my normal style but I've gone for pleated culottes, this kind of look here
