Good quality bras and knickers

Ordered some from Next and just sent the lot back because it all felt cheap and scratchy to the touch. Where do people go these days for good quality, non frumpy, lacy high leg or Brazilian knickers and bra sets with some natural fibers in?

M&S is my go to. The Rosie HW range is beautiful.

Brastop

M&S every time

Pyewackect · 24/04/2021 13:32

M&S, always. Don't have the time or patience to faff about with underwear.

ElephantsNest · 24/04/2021 13:39

Thanks all, you’re right, the Rosie range at M&S looks nice.

After getting some very thin cotton pants from m&s, I found some much better quality plain cotton bikinis in Waitrose. (JL brand)

M&S Brazilian cut knickers are nice. I now prefer Stripe & Stare. I have been wearing them for a year & they are very comfy and stay in place (unlike the M&S which had a tendency to creep up, IYSWIM). They are ethically made too & wash really well. Haven't ordered any bras from there but they do have them. Bra-wise, I really rate Calvin Klein.

Another vote here for the Rosie range Grin

Just don't go with the M&S sizing

AnnieSnap · 24/04/2021 23:59

Pour Moi have surprised me with great style and quality.

I’m a John Lewis fan and supplement with M&S. I go for the JL sales and discontinued ranges where the price drops but the quality doesn’t. I buy 2 pairs of matching knix with each new bra purchased. I supplement these with M&S Brazillian knickers which have a large selection of colours.

But, it’s horses for courses. One PP commented on thin fabric, and sought thicker elsewhere. Personally, for lingerie, gossamer thin fabric is exactly what l want. I don’t want thick fabric or thick elastic.

LilyTheMink · 25/04/2021 07:35

Bras I love wacoal. Buy in JL. Matching knicks available.

I also rate the M&S Rosie range. The more expensive M&S ones are worth getting, their cheaper range are all a bit rubbish.

I got measured at Bravissimo. Then you can quite easily find brands like Panache, Fantasie etc on eBay. You can buy new but often it might be last year's styles, which doesn't bother me. Once you know what suits you and what size you need, you can get good deals.

ElephantsNest · 26/04/2021 23:13

Thank you for your great suggestions. I’ve gone for some M&S sets with some extra knickers from Stripe and Stare.
