Nothing in the shops suits me

I’m probably an apple/strawberry shape (boobs, no defined waist and not much in the hip department).

Everything online seems to be fussy and unflattering - tiered skirts, puff sleeves, high necks, no defined waist... all doomed to make me look like a potato! Bring back wrap tops, a-line skirts and fit-and-flare dresses I say!

I love A line skirts! I think they're reasonably timeless tbh and I've seen some for sale online fairly recently.

The ones I saw were in Thought, Cos and Hobbs.

Also saw a wrap top in Cos.

I am an hourglass, so very hippy and booby. I cannot wear the big, high neck, tiered dresses around at the moment at all, or I do look like a walking marquee or as if I've been upholstered! Love them on other people though.

It’s really not my moment in fashion right now, either.

So many floral prints, high necks, ‘tea dresses’ and shapeless jeans that do nothing for me (tall, hourglass). I’m longing for more structured styles and a good selection of plain colours.

Doesn’t help that I’m just shy of 6ft, so finding the right fit is difficult at the best of times.

No useful advice, but feel your pain.

I feel your pain too op.

God, I'm with you on this one!! The colours, shapes, fits are all so wrong on 3 it's laughable. Despite being 5'8 put me in mum jeans and I resemble a hobbit. I have size 10 feet, put me in dead flat canvas shoes and I look like a clown. Bonus points if you roll the jeans above the ankle. As for floral, frills, pastels, high necks, midi skirts and tiers......

  1. Everything in the shops is mostly rubbish
  2. Fashions have moved on so the shapes are different and look weird to us oldies

Have a look on sites such as Sezane, they have some very nice tshirts / tops. I've just ordered a few new things for summer. I'm tall but run towards apple shape which I try very hard to keep at bay (don't always succeed!)
