Make up holy grail

My make up desperately needs an overhaul and I don’t want to waste money buying things that don’t work like they should so would love your recommendations of things, to your mind, are the best of the best.

After trying loads of foundations over the years I’ve just started to use The Ordinary Serum Foundation and I love it . Tried lots of mascaras but always come back to Lancôme Hypnose. Really looking for a great liquid eyeliner which doesn’t slide off during the day, still to find one. The only one I ever did find was a Kiko waterproof one which stayed on literally all day but I couldn’t get on with the applicator.

Would love all your make up suggestions

I'm a huge fan of Bobbi Brown make up.

I always come back to a Max Factor mascara in a gold tube. Have tried lots and lots of others but this one is the best, tiny brush for my lacklustre lashes and doesn't smudge or run but comes off easily at night with a face wash.

Chanel. Every time

Benefit mascaras are good but a pain to get off!

Chanel mascara is lovely. Tbh though the lancome mascara is brilliant and I'm not sure you'll beat it for an everyday one.

If you like eyeshadow try a Natasha Denona mini palette or a Chanel quad.

Lipstick again, Chanel is your friend!

Not sure whether it would be classed as make-up, but I absolutely love Adell magnetic lashes. I’ve never been able to successfully apply false lashes before but these are so simple and look great.

I also don’t think you’ll beat the Lancôme one.

I can’t advise on liquid eye liner though I prefer a pencil.

Glossier cloud paint is also something I always end up returning to as well.

NYX liquid liner is great and stays on all day. Good flow (pen type) but does clog up a bit after a few weeks so I replace often!

I used Rimmel exaggerate for all day eyeliner for a decade www.boots.com/rimmel-exaggerate-eye-liner-10022412 but then they changed something about it which made it difficult to put on, flaky, stop start. Mentioning as they might have changed back.

Maybelline master ink waterproof in matte.

I've tried shed loads as I've got really hooded eyes and they always come off on to my lids but this is the only one that has completely stayed put.

I just need to find the holy grail of pencil liners now!
