Zara kids clothes sizing anomaly -no age 5-6

Attempting to buy clothes for my 5 year old ( as well as 9 and 3year old).
The younger range has 2-3,3-4,4-5. So 4-5 is not presumably meant for 4 and 5 year olds if you go by the way they are ordered. Just age 4 up to 5. No one would by a 5 and a half year old age 4-5 surely?
The older range starts at 6 and is generally ordered 6,7,8 etc.
Did they just not fancy doing clothes for 5 year olds?
Taking on a chance on the age 6 stuff. But sure will be on the big side. Anyway I just thought I would register my annoyance and see if anyone else found it infuriating.

Age 6 is 5-6, 7 is 6-7 and so on.

I’ve always wondered this about the Zara site! Maybe it’s a Spanish thing.

Carycy · 23/04/2021 12:36

Oh no I just looked back and the dress I got her is 6-7 years. Definatlry doesn’t start at 5.
I got my older one clothed that just say age 9 so they are prob 8-9. It’s so bloody confusing!

Yep same here. Wanted to buy some stuff for my 5 year old. 4-5 will be far too small for her and likewise 6 too big

QuentininQuarantino · 24/04/2021 21:10

Age 6 is 5-6. I live in Spain and pretty much only buy from Zara and dd is 5.

Nobranothanks · 25/04/2021 09:01

Matalan do the same although have an age 5. I get so confused whether that's age 4-5 or 5-6

@ScottishMummy12

Age 6 is 5-6, 7 is 6-7 and so on.
This is nonsense! The age 7 is 7-8, the age 8 is 8-9! TBH I find it better to go by height now as that is consistent across everything, including foreign sizes.
