Went shopping today and.....

Really disappointing. Looked like they had just brought out last years stock or stuff they couldn't sell.

New Look - rows of sale stuff, mainly winter stuff
Primary- very disappointing. Wanted to stock up on basic tshirts etc and not a good selection only xxl or xxs sizes left.

Nothing exciting around in general. Anyone found the same. I think the best clothing I've found around recently was in Sainsburys.

Also so annoying we can't try anything on!

I haven't bothered as I thought it might be the case( there may be supply issues Brexit/boat getting stuck in big canal/ production issues ) ...and can't be bothered to wander round aimlessly. I don't understand why but our H&M does have the fitting rooms open.
I know I need to get some summer stuff but can't be bothered to go into town. I may nose around Sainsbury's /TU next time I'm in there

I haven't been shopping in the city yet, but I just had to go in to john lewis, to return a online order, and then going straight home, I just had a quick look as you do on the way out, and I brought a black cashmere jumper reduced to £35. And a hush top, the black and white animal print one, for £25. My lucky day,

TBF, they have an entire seaons worth of stock to shift. It will be like this for a while.

Closed fitting rooms everywhere I went too - really annoying! I thought it was well accepted now that the risk of surface transmission for COVID was v minimal, so why are they still shut?

No reason why they can't open them.

I took my dd to Matalan and was really pleasantly surprised at the stock, no winter stock to be seen, loads of spring/summer gear available. The changing room was closed though.

There’s been and still is a...global pandemic.
All supply chains and manufacturing has been disrupted. So have fashion shows and buyers fairs. Designers are stuck working from home like the rest of us.
Inventory management has been a nightmare.
Truly, what do you expect??? Business as usual????

They've been closed for almost a year. They need to shift old stock.
