2 days or so....I get a small amount in my lips too and wish I had started years ago.

Queenoftheashes · 22/04/2021 15:20

I got a huge blood blister on day 1 😂 swelling lasted a few days for me

absentpresence · 22/04/2021 15:26

Swelling, lumps and bruising can last up to two weeks after having your lips done, however it usually subsides after a few days. Depends hugely on the filler used and your own anatomy. Anything after two weeks, contact your practitioner as it could be superficial filler or the filler has been injected into the wet border of your lip (I'm an aesthetician) Smile

MeridasMum · 22/04/2021 15:34

I am SO tempted to go for a little bit of filler but worry I'm too old and it will end up looking silly on me (I'm 50).

I don't suppose you'd share a before and after pic?

BrownEyedGirl80 · 22/04/2021 15:55

I'm 41 and had 1ml between both lips so 0.5 in each.

Thoughtcontagion · 22/04/2021 15:59

They look really nice! Damn you I want mine done now

BrownEyedGirl80 · 22/04/2021 15:59

OP, I had mine done for the first time on Monday. I asked for a v subtle change. Here's a before picture (top) and the after below taken today. Swelling seems to have mostly gone. Hope this helps someone. Your lips look great!

Belindabelle · 22/04/2021 16:07

How long does it last for?

Chunkymenrock · 22/04/2021 16:09

Op, is the second picture before? They look lovely in that one. I just don't understand why you want to do this? Your lips were so pretty but in that after photo, they look so fake. Sad

Justkeeprollingalong · 22/04/2021 16:12

@Chunkymenrock
You are very rude and wrong - the second photo is the after one.

Bellyups · 22/04/2021 16:12

It will take roughly 2 weeks for all swelling to subside.
It will continually improve during that time, however give it two weeks for the final result to present.
Some people can sometimes be a little disappointed once all swelling has completely gone, as they got used to the swollen size!

QueenPaw · 22/04/2021 16:13

@Chunkymenrock I don't think they look fake, you wouldn't know if you hadn't seen the before and after
I get asked where I have mine done and people presume about them

KeyboardWorriers · 22/04/2021 16:13

The before pictures always look nicer. Natural and lovely. You both had lovely lips already!

KeyboardWorriers · 22/04/2021 16:16

@Justkeeprollingalong how can it possibly be rude to say someone's natural appearance looks great?

Choccyaddict4eva · 22/04/2021 16:17

They look really nice

They look really natural. How much filler (is that what it’s called? 🙈) did you have injected?
Belindabelle · 22/04/2021 16:21

I am really tempted to get mine done. I am 51. How much is it?

Getting my eyebrow micro blading touched up in a few weeks and might ask about my lips.

Chunkymenrock · 22/04/2021 16:25

How can the second photo be the after one, when the needle marks show in the first one?? There is always a sort of 'edge' to filled lips, especially when viewed from the side. As I say OP, your natural lips are really pretty and I really am not being rude! Grin

l2b2 · 22/04/2021 16:26

Exactly @Chunkymenrock !
The 2nd one is definitely pre op.
Both photos are nice OP btw.

Janaih · 22/04/2021 16:30

They look lovely OP. Swelling should go down in a few days. There are plenty of info graphics online showing the healing stages over 14 days.
Arnica tablets and cream can help, and drink plenty water.
