I swear by Estée Lauder's doublewear foundation but am looking for something abit lighter to wear for every day use. Do you have any recommendations?

I know this will sound crazy but I have been using the Nivea tinted moisturiser and it’s brilliant. I just buy it in Tesco or Boots; it’s in a tube, then boxed up, never costs more than £4!! It’s SPF 15 as well.

It’s a really good colour and coverage for me. I’m pale, with a few annoying thread veins on one cheek and it totally covers this marking without looking an unnatural colour.

I read about it on here and thought it wouldn’t be up to much for the price but I was pleasantly surprised.

I like Boots No 7 Beautiful Skin BB cream. Goes on smoothly, good coverage and there are options for normal/dry and normal/oily. Covers my rosacea without looking caked on.

Lupinhere37 · 22/04/2021 09:42

Oh; I may try that @knackeredcat. Is the colour true to what you wanted? I bought a no7 foundation and it’s so much paler than it appeared to be.

knackeredcat · 22/04/2021 10:26

@Lupinhere37 I'm quite pale and pink toned and currently use shade medium - thankfully it isn't too "warm". In winter I mix it with paler foundation so I get plenty of use out of it.

I bought the Nivea tinted BB cream by mistake. I am Irish pale ie really pale and it's too dark for me.

MeadowHay · 22/04/2021 14:33

I have a Boots no.7 one too, not sure if it's the same one. It's very light coverage but then that's what I want from a tinted moisturiser. In the past I've used the Body Shop BB cream and thought that was great too, I'd say that's slightly more coverage and you can build it up more easily than a tinted moisturiser without making your face too greasy.

Thank you! I have a slightly tanned skin tone (am Indian) do really struggle to get the right cream 🤦

Has anyone used the peachy glow body shop one at all?

lindyloo57 · 22/04/2021 16:12

I use a tinted sun cream and a little powder on top if I need it, sometimes I use a spf powder on top, I have the Bareminerals one it's great.

poorchurchmouse · 22/04/2021 16:19

I like the Dead Sea Spa Magic one - your colouring sounds similar to mine and it really works on me. Smells lovely too.

Lupinhere37 · 22/04/2021 16:38

@knackeredcat thank you; sounds as though we have a similar colouring, so I’ll try that!

knackeredcat · 22/04/2021 17:00

@Lupinhere37, you're welcome, there are always offers on No 7 so you might get it a bit cheaper Smile

FizzyApricot · 22/04/2021 18:09

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue has lots of shades

If you've got a foundation colour you are happy with then you can just mix it with a drop of moisturiser for a lighter coverage.

HarrietOh · 22/04/2021 21:35

A similar thread on here before recommended the NARS one. I bought it when Boots had 20% off and I love it! Wuite pricey though.

HarrietOh · 22/04/2021 21:35

Quite*

balloonsandboobies · 22/04/2021 21:41

I like Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue too. It's not cheap but it lasts and it works really well.

pixiegumboot · 22/04/2021 21:56

Clarins tinted moisturiser for me. Used it for more years than I care to remember. No smell, lovely coverage
