I'm suffering from really bad night sweats at the moment, and would like to get myself a couple of thin, cool, cotton camisole/vest tops. I can't find any anywhere for less than about £40. Why is everything made from viscose/cotton blends these days? I thought M&S would be the obvious choice, but they have very little in pure cotton. I can find a nightie that's a reasonable price in John Lewis, but would prefer just a couple of tops as I already have some cotton PJ bottoms.

If anyone has any good advice/links I'd be very grateful.

Everything is viscose now! Angry

Primark have good cotton vests, huge selection and they're good quality, mine have lasted years. Not specifically for night though but I think you'll struggle to buy a night vest alone.

Thanks - don't really want to hit the shops just yet though so limited to online.

I haven't bought anything from them, but there is a London based, sustainable brand, called Wild Clouds, which I came across recently. Might be worth a shout, although, I don't think they're cheap. The stuff I was looking at was £35ish.

Also maybe cotton traders or somewhere like that? Oh! Organic Basics? They're pricey too though.

I also prefer cotton. I can live with viscose, but my pet peeve is buying something fairly expensive and then discovering it's polyester Hmm. Grinds my gears. Sweaty, horrible crap.

I sleep in cotton vest PJ tops from Next and a pair of knickers, I cant bear anything on my legs anymore.

Good old Asda and Tesco are pretty good for this kind of thing.

I’m looking for similar (menopause).

Strangely, I’m being advised that viscose is the best thing as it’s made out of bamboo, so it’s cool, and unlike cotton, it dries quickly, so is better overall.

Not sure if this is true.

Uniqlo or Land's End might be worth a look.

Thanks for all the suggestions, will go and have a look.
