Plasma pen treatment - for eyes

I'm thinking of having this treatment around the eye area. Has anyone had this treatment? What did you think to it? Has it made a dramatic difference? Thanks

Had it done on upper (hooded) lids.

It definitely tightened them up a bit for a while, but I think they went back to normal fairly quickly. I wouldn't bother again - it smells horrible and the scabs & swelling & black eyes meant I couldn't leave the house for two weeks!

@Luckingfovely thank you that's very helpful. I didn't realise it causes black eyes also 😳. Hooded lids are the reason I'm thinking of having it done also. But it sounds like there are quite a, lot of cons, if it doesn't last long!

I've seen quite a few threads on here with women having permanent scarring from plasma pen

Catrabbit75 · 19/04/2021 16:24

@molojoko thank you for that. The thread reads like a horror story and has definitly put me off!

I clicked on this thinking of that thread. I’d avoid like the fucking plague tbh.

I bought a Foreo Bear a couple of weeks ago and it has definitely helped with my hooded lids. Also one eye was more droopy than the other and they both look great now. Have used it for 3 mins each evening.

Mugginyouleftrightandcentre · 19/04/2021 19:45

I have only read absolute horror stories about that plasma pen treatment, don't do it!

Catrabbit75 · 19/04/2021 22:47

Yes @Fluffycloudland77 and @Mugginyouleftrightandcentre I've decided to give the plasma pen a miss!

Thank you to @Campervan69 for the recommendation - I found a Foreo Bear online with a £42 discount at www.currentbody.com/products/foreo-bear-facial-toning-device

Seems like afar safer (and probably cheaper!) option.

I shall report back in a few weeks...

Top tips are to ignore the ap, watch a couple of YouTube videos instead. And your face needs to be really hydrated when you do it so I cleanse, slap on lots of water then add aloe Vera gel on top liberally. I love it. Really notice a difference.

Catrabbit75 · 21/04/2021 09:20

@Campervan69 thanks for the tips. I've ordered some organic aloe vera gel (after reading the ingredients lists of some of the aloe vera gels contain plastics) and the Foreo Bear arrives later today. I'm looking forwards to trying it out!

Exciting. Its such a short treatment its easy to fit into your routine every night. I hope you see the same benefits I have. I feel like I have my old face back. Its subtle but makes all the difference.
