ISO Zipped Formal Work Suit Jacket

Hi all,

I'm looking for formal jackets to wear over dresses and trousers for work. They just need a zip please as I am super large of Nork- buttons gape, waterfall/open jackets do nothing for the silhouette and make me lose my waist.
I work in a very formal setting, representing my workplace at court.
Any and all help much appreciated.
I am size 16/18 with 40G bra size. Open to both plain and coloured/patterned jackets once they have sleeves and zips.
Thank you!

I’m finding it hard to visualise a really smart jacket that has a zip. I’ve just bought this one in black and am very pleased with it for wearing over dresses in summer, but it’s more an ordinary day in the office style for me than a going to court style:

It's not what you've asked, but might be worth checking boob or bust as 40G bra size doesn't tie in so well with a size 16-18. I'd think you might need smaller band size and bigger cup?

I can’t find anything zipped, but have you though of trying Bravissimo clothes? They design for bigger boobs so a blazer (perhaps with the button done up) might be cut well enough not to swamp your waist?

I feel your pain: am a 32H, roughly, and smart jackets, which I often have to wear for work, are the hardest thing to get right. It doesn’t help that I’m very narrow across the shoulders too and don’t have much waist. Most Blazers could have been designed specifically to make me look like a particularly awkward sack of potatos

Hi @justawoman going to be such a cliche here haha but it's this type of jacket I'm looking for. Also totally open to suit dress/jacket combos as feel very confident in "costume"

@JC12345 my measurements match up with boob or bust and if anything I sometimes find the bands tight. I went up from a 36 band after having my daughter- j actually think she shifted my ribs apart (not sure if that has any scientific bearing!!)
