Facial oils

Can anyone put me right regarding the use of facial oils please? I have been given a blue orchid oil and I seem to have to use quite a bit to cover my face and neck area yet the leaflet advises 2 to 3 drops. I watched the video online but it doesn't give much direction - more just patting or cupping the whole face but 2 to 3 drops surely isn't enough! I seem to get a slight breakout using the 6 drops I use and even that doesn't seem to be enough so can anyone offer any advice please? Thanks for reading Smile

I use the Nuxe one and put 3 drops in one hand, rub my hands together and then sort of massage my face? It's definitely enough - I don't think your face should feel oily once you're done, just soft, if you're getting breakouts I reckon you're using a bit too much!

I use Clarins oil too: two drops on fingers, rub together briefly, then massage face. It’s plenty. Any more would make it too ‘slick’.

Thanks to you both! "Slick" describes the look perfectly Grin I have just been pressing the oil in to my skin as shown in the video but massage totally makes sense to me! Have you seen much/any improvement since you started using an oil?

I too use Nuxe, couple of drops rub together the all over face/neck (then body) I dries quite quick anymore and its to greasy.

You can also mix a drop with your normal moisturiser if you use it and rub it in, I sometimes do that with a cheap moisturiser from Aldi.

I dont have particular problem with my skin but if I dont use it my face does dry out a little

If I use a jade/quartz roller to distribute the oil around my face, three drops covers it fine, but I have to use double that if just using my fingers.

Thank you both! I have enjoyed adding the oil to my moisturiser this week as it feels more evenly spread and I'm told the facial rollers are also great for firming the skin so I'll check those out this weekend. Thanks again to all for the advice Smile

What I've done with decleor oils is put one fingertip on the top of the bottle, turn bottle upside down. Repeat with a different finger. Then pitty patty it over the skin
