Nike internationalist trainers

looking for some comfy trainers that are good for walking but still look nice with jeans. New balance look comfy but I’m a bit meh about them style wise. I’ve seen some nike internationalist trainers that look similarish but a bit more stylish? Does anybody where these? Are they comfy and are they considered a bit more fashionable than say NB?

I've got some, but I don't trust the soles (they are like square studs and not flat with grooves) because I have fear of slipping over. I wore them once, skidded a couple of times on a greasy patch of pavement and that was it! Blush

They do look good though!

I had some. They were lovely looking but my least favourite nikes by far for stability and walking. Totally fine for trips to the pub but I tend to walk quite long distances in the day time and found these weren't so great for that. I like air force ones and air maxes because they are supportive for my weak ankles but appreciate they're not for people who like a more subtle, elegant trainer!

I've got a couple of pairs and love them. I find them really comfortable and can walk for miles in mine. I also think they look good with pretty much everything.

I have some, and find them really comfortable, even for long walks (but then again, I can walk for miles in converse without a problem too!)

I know what a PP means about the sole - I've never had a problem with them being slippy on wet pavements or anything, but I probably wouldn't wear them out on an icy day!

Ah I thought they looked a bit more comfy for walking compared to say the Air Force style.
Are they considered a bit more stylish than new balance?

I think they are very similar in style to one of the New Balance styles. I was actually very undecided between the 2 and eventually went for the Nike.

But I was in the NB store yesterday and might go for them next time around, just for a change. It will depend on the colours around at the time, probably.

I wouldn't consider either of them more stylish than the other, I don't think.

They are very comfy from the get go, mainly because they are very soft (sole & upper). As a result, I'm not sure how long they will actually last.

And the sole is pretty slippy on greasy pavements or tile floors in shops if they are wet. They look good though!

I prefer NB over Nike. New Balance were super popular a few years ago but I still like them. They do a lot of interesting collaborations. I tried to get the Public School collaboration but they sold out in my size.

I've got a couple of pairs of internationalist and I love them. They're really comfy, much more so than Airforce 1's, although I also have a pair of those too.

I haven't personally found them to be anymore slippy than any other sort of trainer tbh.

I have a pair and really like them but.....I will not wear them on wet days as the soles are incredibly slippy as I have learned the hard way! I have slipped numerous times in them!

gulliblestravels · 29/12/2021 00:47

I have them.

They are very slippy in wet weather and also look scruffy very quickly - the different fabrics (suede, nylon etc) all age and fade and fray at different rates.

apinions · 29/12/2021 01:05

I've got some in white leather and they still look great after a few years of heavy wear. I don't find them slippery at all, although I don't wear them in heavy rain.

gunnersgold · 29/12/2021 07:13

I've got 3 pairs of day break which are similar and love them , they go with everything! Also super comfy.

nodtik · 29/12/2021 07:22

I have some gold leather ones and they are fab! Have walked for miles and miles in them. They're so comfortable xx

snapsieplopp · 29/12/2021 09:37

I have some but I would say NB are the brand slightly in front at the moment.
