Fake tan alternative for the pale skinned

Hi everyone. It's coming up to that time of year where we expose more skin. I want to embrace my pale skin but love the smoothing effect of fake tan. Is there a pale product that can give a smooth appearance/colour correct while staying true to my natural complexion? The 'fair' is still not fair enough in most fake tans. Thanks Smile

Have you tried the gradual tanners?

Dove dermoapa or Garnier summer body are good... I'm v pale and just use every few days so not to go orange. They both have a pale skin one.

Or if you don't Wang any colour you could go with mac body make up but can't see the point myself

Duvetstay · 16/04/2021 20:47

Want not Wang! I've had a few wines, obvs.

Isle of paradise tanning drops .. game changer !

I usually embrace the pale but if I am not in the mood to I do a bit of the St Tropez in shower tanner for a couple of days to take the edge off, or use a bit of temporary tanner like the vita liberata blurring one if it's a one off night out and I want to get my legs or chest out (not the whole chest, obviously)

Definitely Isle of Paradise drops! The only thing to colour my super pale legs without lots of streaking.

@Duvetstay thanks, that has been my go to. I always wished there was a 'fair' on it's own rather than "fair to medium' but it is quite easy to use and smells not too bad.

@huuuuunnnndderrricks @peanutbutterjimjams wow I just had a look at the website! I think it will take a few attempts to get it right but this is very encouraging. Really like idea of using own moisturiser and controlling tint. Proper fake tan alchemy! Thanks- had never heard of it!

I like the Dove one, but my DD likes Isle of Paradise.

AnneShirley18 · 17/04/2021 08:46

@dontgobaconmyheart I was à st tropez user in my teens and the photos haunt me. I just couldn't use it properly. The shower one is an advancement since my youth so maybe I should give it another go! Thanks!

It changed my summer last year . I wore shorts for the first time in 46 years because it was such a natural colour . Get light ones and just use one drip first . Get used to what works for you .! Honestly they are fab!

DinosaurDiana · 17/04/2021 09:07

My DD really rates the Isle of Paradise clear mousse.

lightlypoached · 17/04/2021 09:13

I'm freckly and fairly pale. I use skinny tan. Really good stuff, easy to apply and not streaky.

Silverparting · 17/04/2021 09:13

I use the Garnier body one as its gradual and so I can trust I won't mess it up.
