Eyebrow tint

I have got rubbish eyebrows 😢😅 I over plucked in the early 00s and they've never recovered! I try and pencil them in but I'm hopeless at getting them to match! I thought about having them microbladed but I can't be bothered with all the stages that they go through! Would an eyebrow tint work. Would the beautician shape them into something that resembles an actual eyebrow as well as tinting them?

I bought eyelure eyebrow tint from amazon and do it myself at home after seeing it recommended on here. It’s so easy to do and costs about £7 which lasts the best part of a year! It obviously won’t add extra hairs where they’re sparse but it definitely is a low effort way for me to make my brows more defined.

@MonkeyPuddle I think I need to sort out the shape as well so I think I need a professional 😂

I have the same issue. I use ELF wow brow gel and a precision brow pencil. I've tried growth serums but they just make whats there longer and don't add any extra.
I think microbladed eyebrows look proper weird close up. The fashion will turn soon enough and big brows will be out. I looked into seeing a brow person to shape them but they just wanted to pluck more out and pencil bits in. Wasn't keen on that.

I went for my first ever eyebrow wax and tint last September, and it was definitely worthwhile. The lovely woman who did it showed me how to fill in the sparse areas with pomade or powder and I’ve had pretty decent brows ever since. I’d recommend finding someone nice locally (I asked for a recommendation on my local middle-aged women’s Facebook group so that I wouldn’t end up somewhere that I’d feel too judged, if you know what I mean).

If you only ask for a tint, they will only tint them; if you only ask for a shape, they will only shape them. You need... a tint and shape Grin

Waxing is the least painful, in my experience. Threading gives a better finish is a lot more painful. Plucking is the WORST... one hair at a time...

I now get HD Brows and I LOVE them, I know everyone on here hates them but I don't get why, mine look "natural but polished". That involves a bit of everything... But you might prefer just waxing first time around! It's much easier to keep them tidy after someone else has shaped them for you, rather than shape yourself

I've booked to get a wax and tint I'm excited now!!

@LordEmsworth I'm interested in HD brows, can you tell me what's involved?

LordEmsworth · 15/04/2021 14:46

@mrsjg She tints my brows, then trims them; then waxes underneath & in the middle. Then threads the edges, so you get the softer/natural lines; and plucks any stragglers. There's a specific HD arch, and the "tail" is thicker than you get with e.g. Benito's where the thin bit ends up really really thin - so looks less like a tadpole Grin. Before my first session we had a chat about how dark / thick I wanted them, and afterwards she showed me how to use make up to fill out the bits where I needed to grow back.

Thank you @LordEmsworth. A local salon is starting to do HD brows and it's something that I'm considering, as well as a lash lift.

@PeacheyPeach I also destroyed my eyebrows in the early 00s 😁 they recovered reasonably well but have been looking a bit sparse lately, so I thought I'd give rapidbrow a grow and I'm surprised at how well it's working! Definitely looking in better condition with new hairs growing in, I'm really pleased with the results. Might be worth a go?
