Moisturising mature skin

I'm in my late 40s and have dehydrated skin on my face and around my eyes
I'm trying to find a moisturiser/serum that can make my wrinkled skin look plump and fresh and dewy
Can you tell me what you use?
Whatever I try, I always end up looking dry by lunchtime
I've used high street and high end but can't seem to find what I'm looking for

I've recently started looking at The Ordinary ( online and now at SpaceNK) and very cheap- they do Buffet and gentle retinol serums.
I also like Olay Regenerist which is £15 from Amazon, and REN moisturiser for dry skin.
Clinique Moisture Surge is nice and they do an overnight leave-on mask.

I really like Ren products. They are nourishing, but light when applied, contain no chemical rubbish and are vegan.

At the beginning of my morning and evening routine, after cleansing, I put a goodly amount of Oil of Olay original on and allow to soak for 2 - 3 minutes. Skin feels cool and hydrated. Then I put on a serum and moisturiser - whichever is my favourite at the time.

Thank you for your replies
I tried applying my face cream quite thickly last night, but still woke to dry crepey skin 😠

Julique moisture replenishing cream is wonderfully rich but not greasy. Expensive so shop around. Also pure rosehip oil from online aromatherapy stockists.

I like a brand called Victoria which I got from Amazon. It makes my skin feel so plump and smooth search results

Hi

Same age and same kind of skin so watching with interest. I find using a serum under a moisturiser helps or using a primer under foundation. I was told at a Lancome beauty counter years ago if you are using loads of moisturiser you are using the wrong one. I think as you get older you need to change up the product ranges you are using. I usually use Nuxe Oil on my face overnight.

I never see it recommended here but I find the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream is great occasionally over night. It would be too much every night.

i use elemis pro collagen marine cream and buy lots of sets from QVC, i find it really works for me plus they have lots of offers.

Try a hyaluronic (sp.?) acid serum on slightly damp skin before moisturiser. It attracts water from the air and makes your skin feel soft and dewy.

Also, it’s dull but drink lots of water and eat good fats. Water makes a BIG difference.

I double up with E45 cream, leave for 5 mins and then use a cream by a company called Altruist which has 10% urea in. Keep glimpsing myself in the mirror wondering who that dewy looking babe is Wink
