Facials for sensitive skin - any recommendations?

Hi all!

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a facial that works for sensitive skin?

I’m in my early 30s, and have had sensitive skin for as long as I can remember. I haven’t always known how to treat it, and spent years going to facials and applying treatments that inflamed my face and showcased the red-as-a-beetroot look Grin

I’m now using products that seem to work well for my face (so far), but am on the lookout for any facials that would soothe my skin rather than bring out its sensitivity. I’m London-based, if anyone knows of anywhere good! :)

Thanks!

Pevonia has a good range for sensitive skin - you can have a look for salons locations at their website.
Decleor and Filorga are good too in my experience.

I think facials are actually quite bad for sensitive skin.
It's such a risk and they can do more harm than good.

Why not buy the products that might help and do your face at home?
Brands like the Ordinary, Clinique, Evolve Organic Beauty and Nuxe are all gentle.

@JinglingHellsBells
I strongly disagree about Ordinary - their products are very harsh for sensitive skin.
However, I agree that experimenting with facials are not good.

That's interesting @tropicalwaterdiver
what did you find irritating?
So far I've only tried Buffet but was going to order one of the weak retinols- though it's not classed as retinol but as something derived from it which is weaker. Any experience of it?

I have very sensitive skin on my face.
I had a Dr Hauschka facial and it was incredibly gentle and good.
It is organic - biodynamic etc

There face cream is one of the few I can use
