Any quick and easy hair styles for long hair?

I have long (to my elbow) hair, not very thick but thick enough to do nice things with. Unfortunately I am useless at styling hair and also don't really have the time. Once a week or less I straighten it to make it look neater. I can do curls with my straighteners but they don't last more than a day and then my hair just looks messy.

Can anyone recommend some really easy and quick ways to style my hair please? I have a 'light' fringe if that makes a difference. Please do not send me to YouTube because I have tried supposedly quick and easy style and they often only are if you are a pro hairdresser ;-)

Messy bun? Side plait? Without knowing your style, it's kind of hard to make suggestions

I've got below shoulder length (midway down my back) very very curly hair. If I straighten it it's much longer
I use a variety of clips and contraptions , sometimes just pin it up with oversized alligator grips.
Others:
-Hair scraped loosely back into a barrette clip with flat clamp clips to tuck the back underneath
-Messy bun (I twist at the nape of the neck, fix a coil plastic band around and then use big Kirby grips to pin in sections around the band
-Scrape back from the front and wear a chunky headband and dampen the remaining hair at the back , twist tightly into a neat bun. Usually do this with a side parting so it looks less severe
-Big bulldog clamp sort of twisted towards the top of my head and pull out a few strands /curls
-I don't know what these are called but imagine a big chopstick that slides through a flat piece and gather all hair under the flat but then secure with the chopstick
-Hair combs at the highest side points to take hair off from the face, then twist hair from both sides down into the base of the neck and tie with a band or twist into a knot
-side plaits too though these are a lot of faff with my very unruly hair
Hope this helps OP!
