Need to update my hair!

Help! I want to pick the brains of the stylish people on this board.
I feel really 'bleurgh' about my hair. It's naturally wavy, very fine and we have really soft water which makes it very flat.
I have no greys yet, this is my natural dark brown colour, I don't think I've dyed my hair for 20 years! I've had every length from pixie to bobbed to long.
Any suggestions as to styles or colours that may suit and give me a boost?
(I also have a larger nose that I seem to be getting more aware of for some reason.)

Need to update my hair!

Your hair has a slight left parting as I’m looking at it. I would swap sides and go into a deeper parting to the right side. And get a long side fringe/some layering in. Just to soften around the forehead and give the effect of more hair. Also have some layering to boost the root volume and stop the ends from growing out the way. You could afford to go a bit shorter too if you like. You’ve got a long or heart shaped face I think so that would work well and side partings are supposed to make the nose look smaller. But I’m sure it’s fine anyway! We always pick on our own imperfections more than anyone else would.

You have lovely waves- the Curly Girl method would bring them out a lot more! I'd go for a shorter style, like a long bob. I'd also consider looking for a stylist who knows about wavy/curly hair and cuts it dry.

I think we have very similar hair, but mine is not quite as fine, so I'm really interested to see what answers you get as whilst my hair doesn't bother me, it's just a bit 'meh'.
I think the curl of your hair looks quite nice in that picture- looks quite beachy

I’m about to ask for an asymmetric bob. So side parting with the shorter side on the side where the parting is.
My hair is straight and but I think this style looks better with a bit of a wave.

I love you hair and wouldn't change it! Sorry, that's unhelpful.

Thanks everyone! I've done a couple of home haircuts, and it definitely needs a professional now!
I have been doing a bit of Curly Girl, but find they recommend a lot of product that weighs my hair down.

You need to experiment a lot with the method and find what works best for your hair. I also have fine hair and don't use a lot of product. I also can't solely co-wash, I need to use a low lather shampoo at least once a week or it gets greasy and weighed down.

We have the softest water in the world, and strangely I wish it was a bit harder to give my hair some oomph!
There is a local hairdresser who has started doing curly cuts. She has started CG herself, and her hair is amazing. I'm so jealous of thick curly hair - mine is wavy, will blow dry straight really easily and is so in between! She is obviously busy with her regulars at the mo, but will get in touch.
