Debenhams closing down sale

Debenhams have a major sale starting tomorrow. I’ve got my eye on a couple of dresses that might be suitable for a wedding I am going to in the summer. What do you think the position will be re returns and refunds? It took weeks and weeks to process the refund for the last thing I bought there. Anyone else buying anything?

I imagine there will be no practical option for refunds. And even if there was, you might not have time to get them processed...

I'm not going to look, because I don't need the temptation right now. And I'm saving my money to go and do an in-person shop at some point. Fed up of online!

So sad to be missing this. I haven't got one within miles of me and we've decided not to buy online in order to support the shops I am so miserable . Booo

I would not expect any returns unless faulty/damaged and not labelled as such.

I should go check out the big store in town, such a shame that its closing I actually used to get a fair bit in there.

No returns at ours. Southend. Still lots if stock left though and people trying on in store tho no changing rooms open.

I think anything you ordered before 12 April you can return with hermes

It says on the website that you can only exchange in store if the goods are faulty, not if you change your mind. It’s not clear if you can send something back if you bought it online so I’m not going to risk it as the dresses I have my eye on are £50.

In the UK you legally have the right to change your mind about anything you purchase 'at a distance' (which includes online) within 14 days of purchase.

As it's liquidated stock sale, I wouldn't expect any refunds or exchanges. They don't exactly have a reason to provide customer service or retain loyal customers. It's just to pay of creditors.

I got a full refund from the online order, but it was a order before 12th , april which I believe was the cut off date.

I also ordered on line before 22 April and received a refund a few days after returning with Hermes
