Period pants?

Can anyone recommend some period pants? I keep seeing them pop up on my Fb and wondered if they are any good? I’m currently waiting for surgery as I am bleeding pretty much all the time, sometimes heavy but was wondering if I could wear period pants on lighter days? I have washable pads but only wear them at home as they are bulky and wear disposable large pads when out, I’m fed up of not being able to wear leggings due to pads showing so was thinking period pants could mean I could wear my leggings/gym shorts.

Can anyone recommend any particular brands?

They’re a complete game changer. I love them! I have several different brands and think, sadly, you get what you pay for. Sainsbury’s were quite good. Modibodi are my favourites.

BTW I’ve had them long enough now that I’m at the stage where I’m saving money on when I’d have bought pads from the shops.

I've only used ModiBodi, but I really like them and would definitely recommend.

Thank you, how many pairs do I need to buy? Do you change the, several times a day?

At the moment I’m getting through so many pads and they are so uncomfortable and expensive (not forgetting bad for the environment) and having 2 teen girls I’m buying several packs a week,

I have the modibodi ones. They are good and really absorbent. But, you need to wash them per the instructions ime, or else they start getting holes in them! Annoyingly, this happened to me and I was a little miffed, as they were quite expensive.

I have also got a couple of pairs of cheeky wipes period pants, which aren't as good as modibodi, but still do the job.

I also love reusable pads. Sometimes I use the two together; wear a reusable pad in period pants and then just take out the pad after a few hours, so I don't have to change my period pants - who wants to change their pants halfway through the day Grin?

Hope your surgery comes soon Flowers

Re how many; I think I bought 6 pairs of modibodi, 2 x cheeky wipes pants and quite a few cheeky wipes pads. I must have 20ish of those. I didn't buy them all at once. They are quite bulky, so you need somewhere to store them.

Thank you, I have bought 4 pairs to try and then hopefully I can buy more if needed. Hopefully once I have surgery I won’t really need them depending on how well it works. Hopefully period pants will be a game changer.

Thinx are fantastic. I had v heavy periods and used them successfully. On the rare occasion I used a pad instead of the pants, I actually felt a lot less secure and worried about leaking. I started with 4 pairs and built up a collection.
