I'm looking for recommendations for vitamins for hair growth. The choice and cost is bewildering any recommendations where you have felt a difference would be helpful.

Biotin?

Hopdathelf · 10/04/2021 07:13

Biotin works but can make body hair thicker and more abundant. Done nothing for my eyebrows though. Hmm

Shieldingending · 10/04/2021 07:18

I'm also interested in anything that would help hair on the head to grow/ appear thicker

Aurea · 10/04/2021 07:23

Sorry wrong product link. Here it is. 😂

Just a general Well Woman type multi vitamin has helped my hair (and nails)

NeedATan · 10/04/2021 08:11

I tried biotin for quite a few months and it did nothing for me. My hairdresser reckons there is no miracle pill/lotion.

littlebillie · 10/04/2021 09:03

Has anyone tried marine collagen?

I'm the doom bringer on all the biotin threads - beware it gave me horrendous spots. Big deep red ones, I had no idea it could cause them!

Elouera · 10/04/2021 10:05

Have you had sudden hair loss, or its always been the same? If its sudden, I'd firsty check you don't have a deficiency. Anaemia, thyroid, diabetes, menopause or other hormonal issues can all affect hair. When I lose weight, I have a massive shed, about 3mths later. Are you male or female? Is it male pattern baldness or something else?

Journeynotdestination · 10/04/2021 10:07

I use marine collagen, but it’s only made my nails grow. I read that making sure you have enough iron and vitamin D is good for hair growth.

Interested in this - how long did it take for you to notice a difference? DD has fine whispy hair around her temples so wondering if this would help her

Aurea · 10/04/2021 21:23

After around two months. I've stopped taking them now after six months but my new hair is still there. I also lost less hair when brushing.

Shieldingending · 10/04/2021 22:01

Thanks Aurea, I'll order some for my daughter to try

Aurea · 10/04/2021 22:13

I think you can subscribe and save (half price) and then cancel anytime. Otherwise they are v expensive.

Chemo so it's coming back slowly but I want ensure it's thick and strong as it's very wispy right now

I was reading it supports hair, bone and muscle tissue which sounds good as we age

There are a lot of great vitamins out there that you could take, but the key is to know what your body is asking for and not just stuffing it with whatever supplements you can get your hands on. If you listen, your body will tell you what it needs. Also, a doctor might also tell you what's the best vitamin complex for you. You could then look for the best multivitamin options that contain the stuff that you need, for example on here shopwellabs.com/products/wellabs-vitamin-b-12-drops Good luck and stay healthy!

DixiePeach · 06/07/2021 20:26

Hocus pocus vitamins have helped with the condition of my hair. It’s longer than I’ve managed to grow it for years.
