Make up recommendations

I desperately need some new make up and have no idea what's good stuff! I usually buy from supermarkets, chuck whatever is cheap/available into my trolley and hope for the best but I fancy treating myself to something a bit better quality and will maybe last the full day (or at least a few hours).

I usually do foundation, powder, eyeshadow and mascara. I'm not really a lipstick lover.

So, tell me what you use. Links would be great Smile

Many thanks!

Eyeshadow - I'd recommend an ABH or Huda palette. Both are now sold at Boots. Huda in particular has a number of different palettes with different shades etc.

Powder - Hourglass Ambient lighting powders (dim light is my perfect shade for blurring, a slight glow or subtle bronze if built up but I am ghostly pale!). It's my all time favourite product.

Mascara - maybelline sky high

Eye shadow- maybelline colour tattoo or laura mercier caviar sticks

Natasha Denona eyeshadow. I discovered her mini palettes and they are great for seeing if you like the formula. Try urban decay eyeshadow primer to help eyeshadow last through the day. You can get it at Cult Beauty or Feel Unique.

Benefit do good mascara, I also like Max Factor masterpiece. it depends what sort of thing you are after. Clinique Lash Power is a nice subtle tubing mascara

There's a beauty box in John Lewis at the moment which has some nice inoffensive make up.

I think she's a beauty vlogger so I expect it'll come with some useful tips.

£95. Hannah Martin.

I am a bit of a make u junkie - everything from cheap MUA eye shadow palettes to Laura |Mercier/Nars lipsticks. I am wearing Garnier BB cream at the moment. The only mascara I wear is waterproof. Unless you have ultra sensitive eyes I see no point in paying ££ for mascara which should be chucked every 3 months. Essence by Wilko does some great mascara, so does Maybelline, Loreal, Revlon, Max Factor etc.

I don't use powder as it sits in my pores but I do use Laura Geller powder foundation - Balance and glow as it seems to be creamy. Sometimes if desperate I will put a bit of Boots no7 translucent powder on my forehead and nose.

I like eye shadow from Natural Collection from Boots (non scarey shades) and cheap! But also like Mac and Nars, Clinique (the big crayon things), Mally (from QVC) sticks, Bobby Brown eye crayons too.

Lipsticks are from anywhere MUA, Boots no7, Laura Mercier, Rimmel, Nars, Mac, Dior, Clarins, Estee Lauder, Clinique. Blushers are Nars, Benefit.
