Please recommend me your soft, low rise skinny jeans

I used to get some from H & M that I loved but I can't find them now.
Anyone know of any tried and trusted ones? I can't stand high rise and even mid rise make me look fat so it has to be low rise

I don’t think there’s much low rise around these days, it’s very frustrating. Low rise skinnies are particularly out of fashion. The on trend looser styles usually have high waists.

Esprit used to have some low rise options.
ASOS Whitby but they seem to be getting discontinued too.
Tommy Hilfiger and Pepe jeans do low rise styles.
Lee Scarletts can be relatively low rise.
I think G Star Raw may have a style too.
Or eBay.

MiH jeans do some low rise styles, and they’re lovely and soft.

H&M still do low rise skinny jeans. Very limited range (black, dark blue or light blue ripped) but they do them and they are good. Massive vanity sizing since last time I bought them though but as long as you get the “right” size they are just as good as ever!

@TableNiner I can't stand those Mom jeans and have no idea why people think they are good for disguising a belly when they seem to create one or at least accentuate it. Low rise are so much more flattering in that respect. I wish we were 'allowed' to decide what style of jeans we want for our own body types rather than it being decided for us.
Thank you for these excellent suggestions. I will check them out

Hi, just to second the H&M suggestion - they have a few low rise skinnies, including some called "push up jeggings" which I think sounds a bit daft but they are really nicely made, comfy and flattering (and they have a proper button fly, so not sure what makes them jeggings). They had them online last time I looked. (And I couldn't agree more re. the mom jeans. Ugh. They looked bad in 1986, and they still look bad now.)

Hate high rise too

LaCerbiatta · 09/04/2021 07:13

G-star raw have some and they look good. They're a bit pricey but I'm quite tempted.

TableNiner · 09/04/2021 09:30

I think that's kind of the point with mom jeans, they aren't supposed to be particularly flattering, they seem more a statement about being comfortable and not decorating yourself to look nice/slim as we are about more than that. It's very fashionable at the moment to wear oversized clothes, essentially hiding your figure completely, which I think may link into the new wave of feminism/#metoo.

But like @mylovelydd says it would be nice if we had choice! I personally hate anything constricting my stomach but others like something to hold it all in. Glad to see those H&M ones are still around Smile

I was going to say G-Star. I prefer low rise too. I'm not going to dress like an old frump in a sack just because the sisters say so. I really cannot stand all this banging on about how they think I should look and dress.

babyboyHarrison · 09/04/2021 14:55

I have these from holister. I'm really happy with them as I cannot wear high rise at all. I was surprised at the range of sizes as I was expecting holister to be all for skinny teenagers (which I am far from on both counts). For some reason the dark ones with the rips feel a little softer than the light blue. When you look at the jeans you can filter by rise so there are more styles that may suit.
