Lyma laser

Just been reading about the lyma laser- it sounds amazing but there don’t seem to be many user reviews out there, has anyone on here tried it? If so does it live up to the hype?

OP posts:
MapleMay11 · 08/04/2021 15:33

I haven't tried it but am also interested. Given the cost and the fact it's quite new to the market, I would wait until more independent reviews are available. I bought the now obsolete Philips RéAura laser years ago and that was definitely very effective but I found it quite uncomfortable to use. I'm currently trialling the Nira but am again experiencing some discomfort. I can't tolerate the pain from salon strength lasers at all so maybe it's just me!

Delatron · 08/04/2021 16:37

I’m currently using the Nira laser. It says 90 days to see results so I’m feeling quite impatient. I find it quite painful so keep it on level 3.

I just can’t find anything else to use on the eye area and this is approved for that.

Is the Lyma similar m?

MapleMay11 · 08/04/2021 17:08

@Delatron I'm glad I'm not the only one finding the Nira painful. I'm using it for exactly the same reason as you as I specifically want to target my undereye wrinkles.

The Lyma claims to be totally painless as it works differently to other lasers but it's not clear if it can be used right under the eye like the Nira can.

Delatron · 08/04/2021 17:18

That’s interesting @MapleMay11
I thought I was quite tough but can’t get above a 3! There really is nothing else that can go right under the eye and along the bit under the brow bone too so I’m hoping it’s worth the pain!

I’ll go and look at the Lyma but I don’t think I can justify another device! I

Delatron · 08/04/2021 17:21

Ooh it’s £2k! It better be good!

mylovelydd · 08/04/2021 17:22

Nobody loves a device more than me but that Lyma is £2k!!! 😳

Delatron · 08/04/2021 17:27

Yeah my limit is about £300. Especially as they often break or I don’t use them as often as I should...

MapleMay11 · 08/04/2021 17:36

2k is a crazy investment unless you're sure it will get good results. I'll persevere with Nira for the time being and try to push through the pain barrier. Grin

Glojo · 19/09/2021 04:58

I bought the Lyma laser almost 3 months ago and i have used it for at least half an hour a day ..So far i cannot see any difference at all ..I also purchased the supplements ..Sleeping is worse if anything but Strangely, even though i do not get the sleep i need, i have more energy. I have only seen positive reviews for the laser but only on the Lyma website

MapleMay11 · 19/09/2021 14:00

@Glojo that's so disappointing - 3 months should be plenty of time to see results of some kind. I've just bought a Dermalux Flex so am definitely not looking to make another big beauty purchase anytime soon, but it's helpful to read an honest review.

Glojo · 19/09/2021 16:42

It is dissapointing but i will persevere and if the results improve i will post a positive

Tararules · 01/11/2021 15:02

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THE LYMA LASER. I Have been using it for 3 months with no results. I have tried to return the product and they have refused and told me to use it for longer. They don't care if you get results. I am so upset - please please do not buy it. Save your money and see a dermatologist

Glojo · 05/11/2021 18:52

I really dont think it works I cannot see any difference at all in fact my skin looks worse I use it at least an hour a day at different intervals I have yet to see independent reviews not linked to their website I dont mind being ripped off for a few hundred pounds through vanity issues but I am kicking myself for paying out £2000 plus all the other stuff they offer NOT HAPPY I know Lyma will come back with USE IT LONGER ! Its 5 months now If it hasnt worked now it's not going too

Harry66 · 21/11/2021 14:50

Oh I really wanted to believe this would work! I’ve literally bought this and cancelled it again within a couple of hours. I have emailed them about what if you don’t get the results you look for. They say it’s science backed and you will see improvements over time. If they were so convinced they should offer you money back guarantee!

Glojo · 21/11/2021 17:23

Regarding Lyma laser ..I am now at almost 6 months I can now say it does nothing!!! I have spoken to Lyma laser but all they say is keep using it will work ..IT WILL NOT !!!Please please do not waste your money on this gadget They tell me they are now selling out of Harrods ...They want before and after dated pictures I did not take a before picture Did not think i would need one although i suppose it would have been useful to look back on ..I have been to a dermatologist who told me to stop using it and not to waste my time on the supplements I have yet to see or hear a genuine review outside their website

Harry66 · 21/11/2021 19:44

Just awful for people who have invested in this ‘laser’ and it has done absolutely nothing.
Lyma laser often comes through on my feed on Facebook, not surprisingly, because I’m always trying to find reviews anywhere apart from their website. You should post your update on there!
Sorry you have lost so much money with this product.

@Glojo
thanks for sharing as I was looking around for geniune LYMA laser reviews.
@MapleMay11 do you recommend Dermalux Flex? I was checking this product out, the features sounded promising, but not cheap either.

MapleMay11 · 23/11/2021 08:25

@Violy Yes, I definitely recommend it. I used the Current Body mask before but this one is much stronger. We actually bought it because DH has mild psoriasis and it had numerous good reviews for that but I've been very pleased with it for general skin improvement too.

Violy · 23/11/2021 09:02

@MapleMay11 Thanks!

Glojo · 23/11/2021 09:52

Hi I would welcome a genuine review but at the moment they are a bit thin on the ground

Mummybear1993 · 05/01/2022 14:49

I have a Lyma Laser and have used it since August last year. I didn’t see much in results until about month four or five. It’s been great for stretch marks and scars as well as lines on my face. It has a ten year warranty too. Highly recommend it. Sadly selling mine due to marriage split and need the funds. If interested let me know. Still have the box, charger etc.

Mercurial123 · 05/01/2022 15:37

@Mummybear1993 do you have photos you can post before and after? I've been searching non biased reviews but there's nothing out there. If you can show it works you'd have a good chance of selling it.

Mummybear1993 · 05/01/2022 18:07

I don’t think I did take any before and after photos. I did use it in conjunction with some vitamin supplements too, so it could be the combination of them both. Didn’t use the Lyma ones by the way as they were extortionate haha.
There’s a good video online by a lady that reviewed it and interviewed the owner. I am worried now I have stopped using it that I will go back to how I was before!

Jobear2797 · 19/01/2022 17:44

I’ve been thinking of buying a Lyma but am now a little worried by the negative reviews on here, but if anyone who has found them no use wanted to rent out or sell theirs second hand I would be very interested!!!!

Jobear2797 · 19/01/2022 19:30

@Mummybear1993 have you so,d your Lyma Laser yet? Or have you decided to try it a little longer????
