Moisturiser - Nivea Soft

I see lots of people recommending Nivea Soft, but what do you do for anti-aging if you use this? Do you use other products?

I like to use one serum and one cream, but I bought a small sample pot of Nivea Soft yesterday and can see why it's raved about.

I use the q10 serum from Lidl and Nivea Soft afterwards
Both are reasonably priced.

I also use eye cream. I like the rose otto eye serum one from dr organics.

I really do love Nivea Soft! I've used it since I was a teen. No matter what other serums/products I use it's always the last thing I apply before spf and the one product that I will never ever ever let myself run out of! Love it. You can get a 500ml pot from home bargains for less than a fiver and it lasts absolutely ages!

Anyway, to answer your question... I think (from reading other threads on here) you're best off finding a cheap moisturiser that you love and are happy to slap on generously and then investing a bit more in serums and toners or whatever that tackle signs of aging? The fancier moisturisers don't necessarily live up to their claims. I'm never sure of the specifics but if you have a read of the fantastic skincare thread on here I'm sure you'll find a bit more info about that.

The eye serum is from Holland and Barrett. It's not cheap but they often have offers. The Aldi skincare Lacura is pretty good.

Love Nivea Soft for daytime and I use the old fashioned blue tub nivea at night. I love it.

FreshFaceTime · 07/04/2021 15:03

I tried a tiny pot of blue nivea after reading the retro beauty products thread but didn't get on with it at all. It was way too rich for me (even overnight) Glad I just tried a small pot and can just use it up on my legs or something!

Geamhradh · 07/04/2021 15:05

Lots of people use it instead of moisturizer. I had a tub years ago when it first came out but I find it very perfumes.

My DD has very dry skin on her hands and this is the only thing that clears it up.

I've used Nivea Soft for years. It absorbs really well, and is a great base for make up. It has jojoba oil in it I believe which my skin always likes.

I use various other things like nip and fab pads beforehand.

Iamthewombat · 07/04/2021 15:29

It is great. It wipes the floor with most night creams I have used.

@KirstenBlest

I use the q10 serum from Lidl and Nivea Soft afterwards Both are reasonably priced.
I use the same in the morning. Occasionally use Aveeno cream instead (the one in the tube not bottle) if my skin feels extra dry.

Aldi Lacura caviar night cream at night.

I use whatever needs using up from gift sets (usually Boots or H&B) but the big pot of Nivea Soft is great, because I can use it as body lotion, hand cream etc.

Another one I tried I really like is the e45 evening primrose one.

timeforanewnameagain · 07/04/2021 20:35

I use Retinol for anti-aging (Boots No7 Advanced) and Nivea Soft for moisturiser. I love Nivea Soft and it's cheap enough to use on my hands too!

Excellent stuff.

3Britnee · 07/04/2021 23:07

I used it on my face tonight and I'm converted 😂

Nivea soft as day cream helped with my spot prone skin. Love it.
