Men’s tan work boots

I know it sounds crackers but I am so sick and tired and every pissing boot I buy wearing out.
Cheap and expensive brands.
I’ve had enough now.

DH is ex roofing and tells me their work boots typically last years but doesn’t want me to buy any because ‘you only wear dresses and will look ridiculous!’

How would you style such boots and still manage to look attractive?!
I really desperately need a long lasting boot.

Oh I would also love some of those. And a tan lumberjack type coat.

Rigger boots?

I have some for the stables after a nasty incident with a nail.

I think they’re great boots , warm and grippy.

Stylish they are not though, I can’t think how you’d style them with dresses without looking like you’d got confused and put your husbands boots on.

Have you looked at caterpillar boots for women? Similar vibe but a bit more delicate, like timberlands but a bit less hard (I can’t wear timberlands, they hurt the arch of my foot)

BigWolfLittleWolf · 07/04/2021 18:01

Those short tan boots with the hidden steel cap (good for incapacitating would be muggers and rapists Grin)
Timberland boots look like the sort of boot im picturing.

I found some pictures of the sort of things I wear coupled with the sort of boot I’m thinking.

I’m a little nervous.
They look great on the women in the photos but I am indeed suspecting that I am going to turn out looking like I got confused and put DHs boots on!

You can get steel toe cap timberlands, heavy though.

LizzieMacQueen · 07/04/2021 18:27

I'd avoid men's as these are generally wider. Caterpillar do a reinforced toe in a woman's boot but perhaps it's too short in the leg.

ViciousJackdaw · 08/04/2021 23:26

If you are looking for a pull-on style then how about the Frye Campus?

cannaethink · 09/04/2021 10:17

I had to wear steel toe caps for work in my last job, they were so uncomfortable and look massive. I’m a size 7 so they are big anyway! But with the big oversized toe bit they were like clown shoes Grin
So I’d recommend going for non safety boots.
