Returning used make up to Boots?

So boots have signs up saying as no testers if you get home and don’t like the make up you can bring it back.

Has anyone done this and we’re they ok about it?

I spent £30 on a new foundation and it’s awful, just cakes on my face. One slight issue is that I bought it online and my local boots doesn’t stock it, will they still take it back in store?

I brought no7 foundation on line, it was only when they opened last summer when I mentioned to a assistant the colour was wrong, she said because it was brought online you can return for a exchange, which I then did.

Thanks, I don’t want another colour but happy to swap for a different foundation. Will try it.

I ordered a No.7 foundation online with the advice of the woman at the No. 7 counter. It was dreadful. They took it back, no problem at , and I ordered a different one.
