That holy grail - a comfortable bra

Do they actually exist? I can't wear underworked bras any more so it has to be a soft one. I'm 34/36 GG. I've been making do with a M&S DD+ bralette but it's just too small and I'm sick of them. I've tried Molke but the first one I got was too small and the size they then recommended is out of stock.
I hate the mono boob look that wire free bras give you so I think a Molke type shape would work if there are any alternatives. Comfort much more important than style, as long as i can find something that fits!

I started a thread about this a few months ago.... Still walking around with the big girls swinging free!!

ConnieCaterpillar70 · 05/04/2021 20:02

I've tried Molke and they were horrific. It gave you such a weird shape and I'd never leave the house wearing one.

I've got a couple of soft (non wired) bras from Glamorise. They fasten in the front, and have a racer back for support (think its called magic lift). I'm so impressed I just ordered a few more. I suffer from costochondritis and really struggle with underwires.

Rollintodarkness · 05/04/2021 21:00

I've just remeasured using Boob or Bust and have ordered a whole load from Brastop. They specialise in bigger bras so I'm hoping there will be something good in there. I plan on finding something that is comfortable and works and then stocking up!

BeautifulBirds · 06/04/2021 08:40

I want a comfy, push up bra (put my boibs back where they used to be) kind of thing!

Shezlon · 08/04/2021 13:58

Well I ordered a couple of bras from brastop and found one that's pretty good - www.brastop.com/products/curvy-kate-unwind-bralette-mink

Comfortable, a good fit and a surprisingly good shape for everyday wear. Will not wear out out , but good enough . 34G fitted by Rigby and Peller .
I have never worn anything other than under wired and thought I would never wear a non - wired but this has converted me .

I'm echoing another poster who suggested boob or bust on Facebook. Remeasure with their calculator, in a properly fitting bra wires won't be uncomfortable, but lots of advice and suggestions on there!

athousandstrawberrylollys · 08/04/2021 14:49

How about:
this

or this ?

Bravissimo do a great selection of comfy bras, both wired and unwired, for big boobs. Although I confess have not yet found the holy grail of an unwired bra that doesn't give monoboob!

Shezlon · 08/04/2021 16:56

That second one is the one I got from brastop thousand, it's very comfy so far.

I've always found under wires uncomfortable, I am definitely in the right size but I have a lump on my rib cage just where the wire sits.

I am a total convert to Miss Mary Of Sweden. Grin I have the cotton one with extra built up support on the sides. No wires. So bloody comfortable.

Sarahlou63 · 08/04/2021 18:04

Oh thank you @FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge - those bras look amazing and they are in the EU!!

WhereAreWeNow · 08/04/2021 19:47

M&S sumptuously soft bras are pretty comfy www.marksandspencer.com/sumptuously-soft-padded-full-cup-bra/p/clp60285209?color=SOFTPINK

Thought I'd report back. I've tried several over the last week or so with varying success.
Molke - got a much bigger size than recommended according to measurements and it's ok - rubs on the strap.
Curvy Kate twice the fun - comfy but I've had to sew up the middle otherwise my boobs escape.
M&S - tried LOADS. Their sizing is insane. But this one is bloody lovely. Soft and comfortable and supportive. Had to go up in the back and the cup but have now bought 5 of them. www.marksandspencer.com/flexifit-non-wired-full-cup-bra/p/clp60438189

Try it inside out. I have very sensitive skin and Molke thick seams irritate, but inside out it's lovely.

Shezlon · 15/04/2021 18:05

Ah, good tip thanks, I will try that.

Your Molke is probably too big.

In my experience, you’re better going smaller. I’m around 34K and dress size 16-18 and actually get best shape from a Small Mega, though tend towards Medium Mega and used Medium Thunder for bf.

Shezlon · 15/04/2021 20:20

I tried the smaller one previously and it was so tight I could barely breathe. I'm a 34 GG and should have small super according to their sizes but have now got a medium mega (I think that's the right cup size, hard to keep track, wish they'd label them in an obvious way!).

I’m a 34 GG and my favourite is the Freya Love Note. It’s wired but v comfortable. I tried the Bravissimo Zara bralette and though I like how it looks my boobs just fall into the middle if I bend over.

SunflowerOwl · 15/04/2021 20:34

Avon 'The One' bras are deliciously comfortable and go up to a 24. I often sleep in mine.
