Highlights or Balayage

Hi,

Looking for hair advice please. I haven’t had my hair coloured in 2 years- it’s dirty fair/light brown colour. Starting to get some greys but not very visible yet. Looking for lighter especially around my face to freshen.

I used to get tbar or half head highlights but thinking about going for balayage. It looks lovely in pics however my hair is very straight and I don’t have time to curl it often like in the pics.

I’ve attached a picture of my hair, if you can view it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I reckon go for balayage. So much easier to maintain. You have nice hair!

I have similar colour hair and balayage, it has grown out well as I haven’t had it done since November and it doesn’t need redone as often as regular highlights.
I usually wear mine straight, and told the hairdresser that so the balayage was softer and works better on straight hair. I had balayage a few years previously and it looked great when curled but awful when straight and the difference between the light and darker bits was quite stark.
