Why can’t I buy vosene in shops now?

And why is it on eBay for £9.50? Does anyone know what’s happened to it?
It’s the only thing I like to clear DD’s flaky scalp and clarify my hair too.

Thanks, I looked in-store at Morrison’s, Asda & boots and all empty shelves over the last week. Might have to bulk buy online then!

Update just in case anyone finds this thread ... so I visited another Boots, Poundland and in a city centre Superdrug I found the (seemingly) last 2 bottles.
I asked in my local chemist and they apparently can’t get stock any more. They said the manufacturer had been bought by a different firm and only the kids head lice version is available. So that’s it.

Vosene shampoo prices may have increased due to changes in the product's ingredients:
Coal tar
Vosene previously contained coal tar, which was discovered to be a carcinogen. It was replaced with salicylic acid, which is now the active ingredient in Vosene.
Sulfusuccinated undecylenic monoalkanolamide
Vosene previously contained this chemical, which was also discovered to be a carcinogen. It was replaced with salicylic acid.
