Black dress

I have more little black dresses than other dresses. Sure, they're all a bit different but I keep finding myself to be drawn to new ones- sleeveless, with sleeves, a line or shift.

Your thoughts about black dresses ? Yay or nay?

Yay! There are so many different styles to suit every figure/height Grin

I wore a LBD to a wedding I went to in December 2019, and I felt great in it :)

Well I love a LBD as much as the next person it I'd think there is a point when you could own too many LBDs

I reckon 5 would be the maximum and cover all required styles. That would be Sleeveless, short sleeved, long sleeved, skater and embellished.

@waltzingparrot

I'm afraid I have 15. At least. Some with embellishments.

Should I venture to red or some colour?

Confused

I'm starting to wonder if people think I wear the same thing but I don't? Blush

Meh, I think if you love it and suit it, don't change it. If you branch out into red or something, just because you think you 'should', let's face it, you are likely to still reach for your favourite item, which is a black dress!

They're very versatile. You can probably style them lots of different ways. I understand why you like them!

They are very useful and you need a few if you socialise in close circles. I think there is a point of too many though, other people very rarely notice the details of what you’re wearing, unless it’s very dramatic or colourful- the exact opposite of the LBD.

I don’t think I’ve more than ten in the wardrobe. Just a few for different degrees of formality, variance in the weather and to ring the changes. They are, in truth, remarkably similar - but then they are meant to be uniform.

Been liking LBD’s with long sleeves, quite like more flattering tiered shapes lately especially thanks to lockdown
