Hush harems - how do you wear them?

I'm considering some of these.

I want to replace some leggings / yoga tights type things, which are fine for exercise, but don't look great on my figure. I didn't care about that for doing exercise, but it means I never wear them, except for exercise. Now they are on their last legs, I want to replace them with something more versatile / multipurpose.

So, are Hush harems good for yoga / walking, maybe on a spin bike even? And also, do you dress them up a bit for a slightly nicer, casual type look please? If so, how do you wear them?

Well that's something!

I've got several pairs of the Hush ones.

I absolutely love them, my newest ones are from last year and I don't think the quality has gone down at all. I also find them thick enough, not see-through, and soft. And definitely no zips.

They are big though, so I think buying your normal size might make them look a bit shapeless.

I hope you like them. I debated and debated before I bought my first pair about 5 or 6 years ago, but I really think they're great. I wear them year round either with a T-shirt and cardigan and trainers, or T-shirt and sandals. I'm obviously not fashionable in that case, but equally obviously not bothered! Wink

The last time I bought trousers, they were jeans / cotton trousers from Lucy and Yak and it took me a few attempts to get the right size! I can live with a few attempts if it like them. Good returns process definitely makes that easier!

They have definitely changed in recent years and not for the better. I have a pair of khaki coloured ones that are prob 10+ years old that still look great. A few years ago I bought a black pair, same size but they were huge, so much bigger. And there was far more material around the middle so whatever top you wore with them you just looked pregnant. A great big bulky expanse of material round your middle is not a good look. The original ones just don't have this. I quite like the style of them to schlep around in during summer but prefer the cheap ebay ones to Hush now.

Thanks Xici. I'll look out for that. Don't especially want to keep trying on different sizes if they're all going to have too much fabric on the tummy. So will make sure I look for that when I try on the almost inevitably too big ones which will probably come next week Easter Grin

I bought some many years ago (I think about 10 years ago) but though I like the idea I always felt they were too silly to wear outside the house (not that I’m bothered what others think, I just wasn’t convinced). I think maybe I wore them once for a long haul flight I don’t think they would really work for exercise, maybe yoga, but otherwise just errands or around the house. They would probably look OK with high heels for a night out but if I’m wearing comfy trousers then uncomfortable shoes defeats the object!

Update: they are here! I like them a lot. Yes, they are MASSIVE on the waist, but I think the drawstring helps. They are a good fit on the legs and hips I think. Not that billowy. I think the Alexa ones may be more slim fit than the others, but not sure.

Anyway, I'm keeping them, hurrah!
