Summer Jacket Help

Can anyone help me find a jacket to wear with jeans this summer? I live in the north of Scotland so a "summer jacket" is unfortunately required most days. I have a blue denim jacket that I wear with dresses, chinos etc, but I'm looking or something else to wear with my jeans - I'm not a fan of double denim! Ideally something that is short/cropped, and is stylish....but not a blazer. And not sporty / puffy. Maybe like this one from hush? But nicer? www.hush-uk.com/allita-hooded-cropped-parka-khaki-green/002073-2272.html

Anyone seen anything??

Superdry

Love that hush one too. I wonder if there's a cheaper look-a-like out there?

I just bought two of these, both from hush. I'm sure, since you linked that (v. v. nice!) green jacket you've probably seen them both but:

  1. This blue number - it's nice, canvassy and casual, and I like the gold grommet-y things.

  1. This double sided quilted one - oh man, so expensive but so lovely, it's one of those more out there jackets which still lends itself to a lot of outfits (I feel). I have worn it so far with mini skirts, black jeans with jumper and over a black knitted dress. Aware it could be a bit Vegemite/marmite-y though. My sister in law just whispered to me 'you have turned into your mum!!!' when she saw it which made me lol.

These are expensive but great I have it in navy.

A shirt jacket? I have a camel coloured one which is pretty warm and goes with blue or black jeans.

It’s this one but it’s sold out, although I’ve seen loads of similar ones around:

So my phone went a bit funny but I'm back now - the espirt and Superdry suggestions are lovely and not brands i'd have thought of checking. Lots of nice ones on the hush site too, but I'm not convinced how warm some of them would be - we have snow here today so it's unfortunately an important factor! I'm currently back in my north face parka .... -5 today with the wind .... feels like I'm being punished for even suggesting the thought of a summer jacket in April!!

That is nice- I love esprit! No fastening at the front would put me off though, when ever I have had cardigans and jackets without, I have always regretted it.

Picassosdove · 06/04/2021 18:28

I think this is lovely:
